The shift as we know it now has bastardized the game as we once knew it -- the game was better in the mid to late 20th century
I would like to see some limitations of the shift - how you do that - let the lords who run the game figure it out
I get why the launch angle is done and taught, another thing that is a 21st century gimmick
As for youth sports, that was a sad story - some dad's don't know how to communicate especially with their sons, they think yelling at them is motivation to do better -- its easy to forget they are kids and not million dollar pros
Now, there is the concept of the opener pitcher taking place of the starter -- another bastardization of the 21st century baseball
Glad I got to enjoy the game when I did, today there are 3 evils of the game. The shift, sabermetric anaylitics and now you have the "Opener" pitcher replacing the starter - where is that leading to

Great... you should take a vacation from it.
By the way... I didn't miss your point at all.
