We'll be seeing Buddy Guy Wednesday night on his farewell tour. I've been listening to him for 50 years, we've seen him about 5 times. The last one was about 4 years ago at age 82 and he tore the place up, absolutely still playing a master rock and roll blues guitar player. He's 86 now and calling it quits finally.
Christone Kingfish Ingram is opening the show, also excited about seeing him for the first time, the young man is a great player already.

This has been one of my favorite songs for years but I never cared for the way Whiskey Myers did it. I've heard some covers I liked.
Then I came across this video, and while they were doing the lead in of "Nutshell" I'm thinking to myself "these guys look like a couple of goobers....."
Then the song kicks in and they nailed it! For what appears to be at this point just a local bar band, these guys are freaking awesome!

I found something on some website where they had one album posted where you listen to samples of each song, and it was terrible, just really cheesy modern country music, maybe done a few years ago who knows......but a really nauseating attempt to get a record deal I suppose. Hopefully they stick to doing what they do well and we get more kick ass music from them.

I followed the guy on youtube and listened to some other stuff he's done. Nothing really stood out but I think he's got a good voice. The other stuff just wasn't really up my alley.
