Yeah, I have a better suggestion. Employ a little patience. You keep throwing out ridiculous names of vet pitchers who are washed up. Have you even looked at Tillman’s numbers over the last 3-4 years? If we’re going to have pitchers struggling we’re better off with it being the young guys so they can learn and progress.

Tillman was sort of a joke, but Edwin Jackson is not the worst org depth guy These kids might not get us there this year if they ever do - they have been frustrating to watch Throw enough of them out there and maybe we find one Nola or Sale or even a Dallas K or Arrieta type one of these days Don't see it right now

That's what people are trying to say to you, over and over for years now. Arrieta's early struggles for several years are well documented. Arrieta had an ERA of 5.50 after he had pitched his first 400 innings in the big leagues, so how can you dare to put down our prospects and then mention Arrieta like he was something speical early on? Did you know Nola pitched 111 innings in his second year in the big leagues and had an ERA of 4.78? No, of course you didn't. You would have had him down the elevator shaft by the end of that year, but now you bring him as a superstar from day one. And you're blowing off guys who have less than 100 innings in the big leagues, less than 50, and some who don't even have any yet. Good lord man, can you please get a grip? If these guys are ever going to develop, they're going to need time and innings at the big league level If they struggle, that's normal. We only need them to be good or really good, we don't have to expect them all to be among the bet pitchers in the game. We already have one of those, Folty was 9th in ERA in all of baseball last year.

Gohara, for example, has pitched 49 innings in the big leagues. He has an ERA of 5.33. That's better than Arrieta's career ERA was after 4 years and 400 innings in the big leagues.
