Dansby is back to being Dansby I think we've seen the full gamete of what he is. A really streaky hitter who is really good when he's on, and really bad when he's not. I didn't think he was necessarily making strides in his last good streak, he was just doing what he does when he's on. Unfortunately he's only on about 25% of the time and then dreadfully off the rest of the time. I'm still pulling for him, he's going to play every inning we play the rest of the year. So I'm just going to accept that, without anger or frustration, it is what is. In the meantime his defense helps a lot. I may not feel the same way come spring training next year, depending on what personnel decisions we make in the offseason.

Something pretty amazing to consider--even with some big hits from several of these guys, Albies, Charlie, Ender, Flowers and Dansby had 20 LOB tonight. Dansby is 1 for his last 18 and 4 for his last 31.
Awesome! Bores participation will pick up soon..

I'm still holding out hope that he can make a Simmons-like turnaround with the bat, but it's looking like he is what he is; a streaky hitter that just doesn't quite have what it takes to be consistently good with the bat. I mean, we're 2 full years into his career now. I'm just not optimistic that it's ever gonna get much better.

I rarely get to watch a game but watching this one I gotta say Swanson looked totally lost ad overmatched at the plate

When he’s slumping he even looks bad on mistake pitches.
