It’s also impressive how useless Braxton Davidson has been I'm sure you're talking about his entire MiL career and not just the beginning of this season. Dude is lucky the Braves still employ him. The Braves org has an extreme hard time admitting something is a mistake: see: Frego;Jason Hursh (who is somehow not only employed but also has gotten a few ML appearances)

Guys it might be early but I am getting excited about Jackson. Very pumped that Riley is starting off well because we all know his tendency to be a second half guy. Once again I cannot overstate this enough to guys like pitofmisery- this season is pivotal for prospects to prove they deserve a shot at starting next year. More spots filled with these kids, the more we can dream big in the offseason with our 80 million to spend.
C- Jackson 1B- Freeman 2B- Albies SS- Swanson 3B- Riley LF-? CF-Inciarte RF-Acuna
This is still wishful thinking this early but we could go big in LF, a top notch starter, and Kimbrel if these two pan out.
Side note: nice to see Touki bounce back, he still ends up in the pen likely but I’m really hoping for consistency this year to keep him as a starter.

The Braves org has an extreme hard time admitting something is a mistake: see: Frego;Jason Hursh (who is somehow not only employed but also has gotten a few ML appearances) That doesn't make any sense to me. That would have to be a directive straight from Terry McGuirk, in order for that to be true, as he's the only one who's still in a position of power.

The best thing about Gilmartin was whines a lot repeatedly referring to him as Gil Martin.
Good times.

The Hursch and mike minor picks were definitely directed by higher authorities Who are no longer with the team. Hursch is still with the team. Not quite sure if you’re referring to management. It’s been repeatedly reported that picks of these bums were facilitated by higher ups like JS and TM...

TRying to force frank wren to repeatedly restock and compete year after year, even though the writing was on the wall.

It’s been repeatedly reported that picks of these bums were facilitated by higher ups like JS and TM... I was talking about management. Terry McGuirk doesn't make baseball decisions, and never has. He's the money man. He makes sure the financials are in order. JS, Wren, Coppy, Hart and Cox, to a lesser extent, were the ones making the choices, as far as baseball matters were concerned; and none of them are involved in that anymore.

Could he be one of our worst 1st round signings ever? I hope my memory is correct but, when they drafted him wasnt it because he had a great eye and didnt strikeout much and had amazing power potential? I say the worse ever because atleast with Cody Johnson , he had the power while they knew he would strikeout. Davidson on the other hand hasnt gotten better. He strikes out way more then expected in my opinion. I remember they said he takes too many pitches and that was his problem. Now i check the box scores and it never fails that he has struck out 2+ times a game it seems. I think this will be his final year in our system.
