I guess that white stuff flying up in the air was grass. White grass. It just happened to be growing by the white chalk line, totally by chance.

Newk fools around too much. Be aggressive. It's not just Newk.. it's almost every pitcher on our staff. I think it's an organizational thing with us. We can turn 0-2 to 3-2 as quickly as pouring water out of a boot with the instructions on how to do it on the bottom of the heel.

Not the right time to hit their player. Definitely not the right time for them to hit Acuna again.

Not the right time to hit their player. Definitely not the right time for them to hit Acuna again. bad thing is it doesn't matter to them... they can lose players.. lose games.. whatever.

I am guessing that was for lobbing the bat. I hope Acuna gets to lob another bat. One of the minnows may get scaled That and standing at the plate for 5 seconds watching the ball before he flipped the bat and started jogging.
I don't blame him for doing it, after what happened with Urine, the Marlins should have just let it go, this once, given what had happened. But after they hit Acuna, it was imperative we retaliate ASAP, and Anderson was absolutely the right guy to hit. He's their equivalent of Acuna. And Sean did a great job. I was thrilled by it. I don't like the idea of playing grabass games with a last place team where we could end up with an injured player, but you also have to draw a line. When they hit Acuna tonight they crossed that line.
And moving forward I wish to God somebody would tell Acuna not to stand there and admire his home runs.

I agree 99/100 times, but i wish he’d stood there longer this time.

I never liked Mattingly as a player, and I've lost 100% of any possible respect I could have had for him over all of this. He should know better than to have his last place team effing around with a first place team in a pennant race like this. Acuna had a perfect right to act the way he did tonight when he hit that ball. That should have been the end of it.

Great breaking stuff for Biddle as he saves the shutout. Newk gets the win. Satisfying winnage.
