About time you pull Luke the Puke Slepping Snitker -- Snit was asleep at the wheel this afternoon
TIme to go to back to football and watch next weeks victor over the Falcon losers next week -- Carolina that is
6-10 for the Falcons -- what a fraud marketing job from this team -- L0serville is hot on its trails as we watch more losing sports in this town
Can't we come up with some phantom injury to disable Luke the Puke and never see him again.

%^$#%^ Ba^&%^&%#$&#!!!!!! There’s the outrage we need! This is good constructive outrage and its about time -- there is nothing you can say about this garbage pen -- <psychotic rant removed> Edited by Management Dude... just stop. When you start posting like that, you have gone too far. You post like you are some sort of a psychotic and masking some of the words you use doesn't make it okay. When you make it so I don't even want to come on my own website, then that is enough. Stop.

Who would not be for KImbrel but they will have to pay -- why would Boston, a team that has a budget and a propensity to spend some money want to let Kimbrel go unless he does not like the Northeast (some guys do not like it there) Boston in crazy not to keep him unless there is something that is not known Kimbrel is a southern boy. That doesn't hurt, IMO. That said, I'm not sure about a big contract for a closer. We have a lot of good young arms. Can't we find one in-house and spend our $$ elsewhere? Not that I wouldn't like to have Kimbrel back, just not sure it's the best use of $$.

Kimbrel is one of the best closers, but in terms of relievers, there are many relievers that can get 3 outs consistently; and they can be had for significantly cheaper than what Kimbrel will cost.

A high salary closer is a luxury, plain and simple.

Thing is though if we have a lot of money to spend then maybe we can afford a luxury. We haven't had much success finding many of these significantly cheaper guys that can get 3 outs consistently.

Consistentcy in throwing strikes is often about consistency in motion. Look at top control pitchers and often what you are going to see is a controlled motion that is easy to replicate.
I look at Winkler and Brach and these guys seem to be a whirly dervish of animated elbows and legs landing in a different spot after every pitch... yanking pitches way left and then opening up and missing wide right on the next pitch. Every fastball also seems to be max effort where they are trying to throw it through the netting. The max effort fastball is evident with several guys. So to me its not really hard to look at these guys and say to yourself "Hey they've got great stuff , but I imagine they are going to have control issues".

They'll go with Luke the Puke for closer next year!!!

You know it's gotta suck to be a guy like Luke Jackson. You know, a borderline major league pitcher. I mean, seriously, you work your ass off all your life, and you're ALMOST good enough. Sure, he's making as much $$ in a year as I make in several years, but putting that aside, and remembering these kids are human beings, it's just gotta REALLY fulking SUCK, you know? Kinda like having 4 of the 5 Powerball numbers. The prize you get is nice, but DAMN! LOL

Eh I dunno..... 14,000 or thereabouts is the total number of human beings in the entire world that have been good enough to play MLB at some point. It's hard for me to think it sucked for any of them, even the ones who only made it for a single day.

It's still gotta be frustrating to be one of the borderline guys, especially when you've given it all you've got and it just ain't quite enough. I guess someday it hits you that it just isn't in the cards for you..........a lot of those dudes become managers, executives, scouts, announcers, etc. The game will still take care of them, but you know they all would rather have been MLB stars.

I wanted to be an astronaut, but that didn't work out either.

I wanted to bang Kate Upton but so far that hasn't happened either. I'm thinking at this point that the odds are REALLY long against it ever happening.

Man... life sucks for everyone...
...Unless you actually become a solid MLB player, an astronaut, or you are banging Kate Upton.
