Mattingly is doing what he has to do in his post game interview, but he's coming across as knowing it was a POS move and certainly something he would have never wanted to happen.
I hope the league hits Urine with a hard penalty. I'm all for brushbacks and even a plunking on the backside every now and then, but 97+ aimed above the belt can end up ruining a career.

I will give Dansby credit, I think that was one of our biggest hits of the season. We could not afford to lose this game with all the emotion the players were surely feeling, it would have been pretty demoralizing. If he can come up with some timely hits, it makes it easier to live with his struggles, that's for sure, and he has had a couple of BIG homers during this homestand.

Guys, I have some bad news:
Left-handed reliever Sam Freeman could be activated from the disabled list early next week. Freeman is currently scheduled to make two more rehab appearances for Gwinnett.

He's had some timely hits all season.
He has sucked overall, and I am not defending his results this year, but before tonight..
With runners on .293 BA With runner in scoring position .284 BA
Fangraphs High leverage AB's .429 B
I think he's around .300 as well from the 7th inning on.
So his paltry few hits usually come in big situations.

Urena talking now. Spare me the victim card. What a POS He thought it would be kewl to send a message to the young player that was destroying him What an A-Hole Old school baseball would at least have required a slow curveball in the back of the hitter. At least that would have been preferred compared to this. Then, the Brave likely would have hit Realmuto and we would have lost Gausman for the rest of the game. Different ballgame.

I have what might be worse news. Homerun Julio Teheran faces the mashing Rockies tomorrow. Urena talking now. Spare me the victim card. Yeah... eff that BS he's trying to pass off. 99th percentile on velocity all season. Highest velocity 1st pitch all season. Then as soon as it happened he walked towards Acuña with his chest stuck out daring him. Your own team didn't even buy that it was an accident... jackass.

No word on Acuna, I take it.

No word on Acuna, I take it. Snit said there was some swelling so they probably have to get that down before they can MRI or further diagnose. He also made it sound like it was muscle/contusion more-so than a structural problem. That's promising all things considered.

Poor Urine. Everyone wanted to attack him. He just wanted to move Acuna's feet. Yeah, ok, sure, Urine and I'm Loretta Lynn.

His swing has looked better the last few days, hopefully they keep throwing him fastballs. Why anyone ever throws him a fastball over the inner third or farther in is beyond me, it's not like they've had to trick him with the breaking stuff. He's been streaky the whole time he's been in the big leagues, hopefully he'll go on a good streak now.

I would expect no less from the poor little sisters of the Yankees. I mean, the Yankees are Marilyn Monroe and the mutts are Rosie O'Donnell. That has to do bad things to you after 55 or 60 years.

I would expect no less from the poor little sisters of the Yankees. Hernandez has been a d-bag his entire life.
I get the brushing back part, but not what Urena did.
