UP NEXT:
Marlins: RHP Trevor Richards (3-7, 3.98) gets the nod when the NL East rivals meet again on Tuesday.
Braves: RHP Anibal Sanchez (6-3, 2.83) returns to the mound after going only two innings in his most recent start. Sanchez had to leave last Thursday's game at Washington after being struck on the leg with a liner up the middle.

I just read comments on another forum by a guy who watched the Gnats post game show, he said Ray Knight is so torn up he's stuttering and can't form sentences.
Loving every minute of their butthurt!

The Nats were appointed the NL East crown all year. Loved it when the "relieved" two relievers.

Wonder if their magic # sign is still hanging in nats Park. Should be changed to a “days until bryceman leaves”

I watched the Nats pregame show right before the Braves game last night. They talked abut the GS loss to the Cubs Sunday Night. Knight was pretty torn up over that one. Said he couldn't sleep and if he would have been standing up he would have fallen to his knees on that grand slam and ripped Madson for not telling Martinez his back was hurting and he wasn't 100%. GO BRAVES!!!

Dejong with walk-off HR against Nats!! Nats 6 Cardinals 7 FINAL, (Monday night) YESSSSSSSSSS WOW...Great News! Glad the Nats loss again. I wanted to stay up but was too tired. I was up very early yesterday and had a busy day. It was 4-2 when I went to bed just before 11 PM. I remember Baby Brice hitting into another DP with the bases loaded. I'm going to watch their pregame again tonight for some more laughs!

I'm not writing their obituary just yet, but the fact is, their rotation isn't what it once was, in spite of having Scherzer sitting at the top of it. There's no doubt they've had their share of injuries. They sit 7 games out in the NL East and 6 games out of the wildcard (and one game further in the loss column in each). The last 2 games have to have them wondering if they can hang in, too. One thing's for sure...........I'll shed no tears if they don't make it.

We lost VIZ and Ramirez and Freeman has imploded. Not saying that is as significant as the Nats injuries but all were expected to be significant late inning shut down relievers for the Braves. Injuries happen to every team, Acuna out for a month, Flowers hurt in first game and still hasn't been the same this year, but all told we have weathered the storm. Zimmerman was injured but the fill in's (Reynolds and Adams) actually provided more production. I just don't believe they'll make a significant run, even with Strasburg. They may get to 3 or 4 game back briefly but when all is said and done I think this year is between the Phils and Braves. That being said, stranger things have happened and will continued to happen. Just hope it's not the Nats this year.

Anyone know what happened with Jason Motte? He actually didn't do that bad with us last year. He may have been better than Moylan and Freeman this year. I see the Cardinals had him in Spring Training and then nothing. Maybe he retired.

It seems like he had other pitchers bail him out a lot, I recall him being pretty Moylanish. I hope he did retire so we don't consider bringing him back.

I don't think he'd be a difference maker for them, necessarily, but it would definitely help them to have him back. The gnats don't need just one team to collapse, they need several teams to collapse. It just isn't real likely, but of course, it COULD happen. Not that I believe in such things, but the karma of holding Strasburg out of the postseason a few years ago to limit his innings is strong.........IF you believe in such things, which as I said, I don't. I mean seriously. I DON'T!!
