Tyler Lyons (LHP) and Greg Holland (RHP), both basically available for free. Down years in 2018, but both have solid track records.
Worth taking a flyer on either?

Wasn't Holland the one we could have picked up at the beginning of the year and passed on?

Wasn't Holland the one we could have picked up at the beginning of the year and passed on? The #Braves, who have been conspicuously quiet this winter, have at least checked in on former #Royals and #Rockies closer Greg Holland, writes @jonheyman:https://www.fanragsports.com/braves/heyman-braves-have-checked-in-on-greg-holland/ … 9:10 AM - Mar 15, 2018 Heyman went on to say this: There’s no evidence the talks have gone very far to this point, and Braves people are telling folks they have limited funds left. tomahawktake.com/2018/03/15/report-atlanta-braves-checked-in-on-greg-holland/

Holland has been DFA'd, which means he has a week to be traded, or he can elect free agency rather than go to AAA. If that happens, the Braves (or anyone) could sign him for the pro-rated amount of the MLB minimum, which is probably <$200K for the rest of the year. I think that's worth taking a shot on -- I mean, the guy is coming off a run of 47, 46, 32, and 41 saves 2013-2017. I think the reward would be worth the minimal risk if he clears the DFA period without being traded. Agree on Touki too though. I think we bring him up at some point to work in as a reliever -- could be a difference maker for us down the stretch.

Holland's ERA is 7.92 for the season, he's been consistently wretched. We have enough of that already in our pen.

Can they be any worse than Sad arm Sam Freeman Or retread Peter Moylan for that matter As for the Touki talk -- would rather give him a couple of starts in September and see what he can do Should he be considered a SP for the future?

Hm, is this a precursor to the off season. No surprise about limited funds, what happened to the funds over Sun Trust and the Battery? Just saying

This is a precursor to this years budget. This year's CHEAP budget, RAWR!!! Got that right -- what about next yrs budget that will be interesting and we will see if they are serious about ever trying to win -- but knowing the $$$$$ are spent well, that explains why Alex might not be able to do much to save face for this yr

Unless we trade Freddie, then it will be lower.
Are we not fed up with Freddie yet? How much patience are we supposed to have???
Faulty Freddie.

It's all liberty media's fault, and the actual Braves management just doesn't care.
