It looked like his swing was way off... didn't pull anything. Hope they can get his timing straightened out.

LOL. As much as I despise Harper, it's a dumb rule to begin with. You should be able to hit as fast as you can hit. Besides, it's a pointless contest anyway.

Once Freddie lost I turned it off. But why let one person play by a different set of rulles? I would find that disturbing no matter who it was. I’m a real competitive person, so I don’t agree it’s pointless. I think it’s stupid, but if you’re going to do it be fair. Jesus Aguilar was at a distinct disadvantage in the first round, the announcers mentioned it several times, he was having to wait an extra 3-4 seconds on every pitch because he was hitting the ball so high. Roolz schmoolz. If we aren’t going to follow the rules, why not let one batter hit from the flat ground behind the mound? The pitcher could throw from second base. That rule is probably for the safety of the one thousand people out on the field. Which I’ve always thought was ridiculous and a lawsuit just waiting to happen when some dorky kid takes a line drive or fly ball in the chops.

You're probably right about the rule being in place due to liability. To eliminate someone like Aguilar being at a disadvantage, they could just allow a certain number of pitches per contestant, because you're right, it wasn't fair to him. I'm just glad that Freddie stuck with his swing instead of changing it to try and hit more homers. I don't want him messing with that!

I like that idea, but then they would have to come up with another way to make sure the hometown dbag won.😆 I agree about Freddie, the approach he took probably won’t bother his swing. I hope it messes up Harpers more and he hits .113 the rest of the way. Let’s see if him and daddy can find a way to cheat so wittle Bwycee can have a World Series trophy too!😜

Watching that cheating last night made me think of Harper as Little Big Fat Bernie Gale Jr.
from the movie Safe Men where a Jewish monster steals the Stanley Cup to give to his son.
