Something that has been bothering me about Dansby for awhile.....watch how much his right foot moves when he swings. After every single pitch he steps out, then as he steps in he starts kicking at the dirt like he's constantly trying to dig a big hole to put his foot in. At first I thought it was just a nervous habit, but now I'm thinking he's trying to dig in more to stabilize his back foot. But I have never seen anyone move their back foot as much as he does during his swing. I've always been a big proponent of stability, steadiness and leverage when hitting, and with his back foot moving that much he can't establish any of those things. I swear there are times where that back foot moves two feet.

Yep. Can't blame this loss on anything but terrible hitting. I still don't understand how Markakis wasn't ready for a fastball on the called strike 3 in the 8th. He knows more about hitting than I ever will, though. It's just puzzling to me. Don't even mention Swanson. He just can't hit major league pitching well enough to be an everyday player. I don't wanna give up on him, but he's well behind where he should be.

This is who the Braves are guys. This is who they were expected to be. The first half of the first half the 2 out RISP was a mirage. Ender is the least productive hitter closely followed by Dansby(who shouldn’t, and never should have been in the majors) but that’s a whole different argument, it’s just time to admit this isn’t the year to trade, stand pat and finish where you finish and chase next year. I don't see the need for a prognosis of doom, we have things that are not going right but no one here is prescient. Do you think the Nationals are ready to give up? they don't and we have had more success so far. We actually have a good chance to make the playoffs. Don't acquiesce and abandon all we have accomplished.

There is no hope, and I don't understand why you don't see this....It's not like the baseball season is a 162 game preparation for hopefully 11 more wins post regular season, and a time for experimentation, patience in development, and finding out the personality of a team or anything....didn't we learn that on the old board?

Don't acquiesce and abandon all we have accomplished. What's funny is that some predicting doom think the Nats will be the eventual division winner. What's not funny though is that the Braves have been a .500 team for quite awhile now after getting to 10 games over. Things are not going to improve until... ya know... things change. Yet every day its the exact same lineup that Snit throws out there. I'm not big on trying to play a guessing game with the lineup on a day to day basis, but I guarantee you I would have Acuna a few times in center with Culberson or Tucker in left, and a couple of games in a row with Camargo at short and Culberson at 3rd. I would also shake up the batting order and get dead ass Ender out of the leadoff spot right now.

AA also has to do something to add some bullpen help... not trade the farm, but we built the farm so we would have options to deal when needed...
and for chrissakes, Sam Freeman is on pace to appear in 88 games after only appearing in over 50 twice in his career.

Ender might actually be a good trade candidate...love his defense, but getting tired of his whining about virtually everything.

Ender might actually be a good trade candidate...love his defense, but getting tired of his whining about virtually everything. I'm tired of 90% of his contact seemingly coming off his bat having an exit velocity of 37 mph. I can not remember ever seeing so much incredibly weak contact. I have honestly wondered if he is hiding some sort of injury it has been so bad. My only hope is he has always been much better in the 2nd half than in the first.

Ender suffers from Newly-Signed-Contract-Itis

....and he insists on running us out of innings......once my favorite player, I've soured more on his "peripherals" than I have about his abilities....if a struggling kid like Dansby can keep going on without complaints, a vet certainly should be able to.

The Great and Powerful Oz is only 21 years old, and he's made better adjustments than either Ender or Dansby. I think this shows you just how wide the talent gap is between the three of them. There's no comparison. I worry about Acuna, but he's even younger than Ozzie, so I expect big improvement from him. Ender and Dansby are quickly running out of excuses; Ender in particular.
