Personally, I think the Yankees have an outstanding team. (Go Braves!!) I pretty much really dislike the Yankees and prolly because they are so successful. The short porch in right is there for both teams (ie Acuna game 1) so I’m not sure how it so heavily benefits the Yanks It is an advantage for them because they build their team around it. Team 1 is built around line drive and ground ball hitters with speed. Team 2 is built around fly ball hitters, particularly ones who can be charted to hit a lot of fly balls... and fly balls to right. All other things being equal like overall team BA and such.. which team would probably score a lot more runs in yankee stadium? Many teams are built around their ball park... teams that play in cavernous parks build around pitching and speed. The Rockies try and have lots of sinkerball pitchers, etc Often these park differences are marginal, but at Yankee stadium they are very pronounced, and you can definitely build a team around them and have a decided advantage.

Yes, the Yankees have an outstanding team, but not nearly as good on the road as at home.

Brad Hand, anyone? If we could swing a deal for him and a guy like Barraclough, imagine how sick our pen would suddenly be:
Hand Barraclough Minter Vizcaino Winkler Biddle Carle Phillips
I suggested Barraclough last year. Most were fairly cool to the idea because of his control (career 5+ BB per 9 IP). He does walk guys, which is something we DON'T need this year but he gives up few hits (career WHIP 1.2) and he would be better than most of our current relievers. Hand would be a plus also! I've been high on Barraclough all along. I'd love for us to get hold of him.

Dansby Swanson (R) SS 9. Max Fried (L) P Good to see Freddie in there. Interesting that they flip-flopped Camargo and Acuna. It makes sense though with the rate that Acuna is swinging and missing right now. As poorly as Flowers has been swinging the bat I'd almost prefer to see Camargo hit 5th. The problem that would create is three righty hitters in a row, but it's almost silly to hit a guy who is struggling higher in the lineup just to avoid something like that. I know it seems like they're just rotating catchers daily, but as well as Suzuki has been swinging the bat I'd like to see him playing tonight and maybe another day or two if he kept hitting. Charlie sits tonight after two more doubles last night, mmmmm, mmmmm, mmmmm. Tough situation there, but the man has been raking for at least 6 if not 7 weeks now. OPSing around .900 for that period. I don't know how you put that guy on the bench every other day at this point.....

I'm sure everyone on here has done their part, but just a friendly reminder that All Star voting ends tonight at midnight. Freeman and Markakis appear to be locks to start, but Albies may need a little more help to assure he remains in the top spot at 2B. Vote the Little Beast in!!!!!!!!!!

I am disappointed Freddie is in the lineup. His recent performance has been screaming for a day off, and with what happened yesterday I would have been fine with him sitting for one game.
Nope.
I hope I'm wrong and he goes 3-4 with a HR, but I would have rested him for one game. The season doesn't hinge on this one game.

I would agree--the one plus is he probably can't injure himself worse by playing, but he could suck more (or maybe that's not possible!) because of the injury and hurt our chances of winning.
I really think we should just stick Danny Santana in there at 1B and bat him third! RAWR!!!
