Line of showers briefly intensified and has now dissipated to just a few isolated cells. HRRR looking better also with areas near Atlanta now all less than .1" and very isolated . Looks like a good afternoon. Still the slight possibility of a brief shower. -PA

Can McCarthy hold a 4 run lead? I have my doubts.

Let’s give dansby a few more years I’m pretty down on Dansby but I’m still not in the same universe as you when it comes to him. I’m not ready to give up on him, but I do think he should sit when he’s struggling so much and Culberson has been our best hitter for five weeks. I always think a kid should get two full seasons in the big leagues before I make much of a judgment. But at the rate Dansby is going it’s not looking real good. And when Acuna comes back I’m pretty sure the golden boy won’t be the one sitting.

Even if I think he won’t be a very good player, he seems like a genuinely kind guy. Culberson’s interaction with the fans was great too. I don’t really care which sits when Acuna comes back, as long as it’s not camargo.

I was more down on Dansby when his defense was trash. I miss shortstop being automatic, but Newk is gonna be good.

Yea...I'm not completely sold on Dansby and I've mentioned that several times BUT his defense has improved greatly and he was hitting well before his injury. I'm hoping he can elevate his play to that level once again and be consistent.

A guy can hit .800 over a course of a few weeks and management will still go back to someone they signed for big bucks. They hate to stay with a hot hand when one of their hand picked prospects heal from a DL or a slump. jmo
