Silly as it may sound, I think this series could go a long way towards showing if we are really ready to contend. Good teams take care of business against bad teams.

Ughh ... not more rain. Hated that they didn't play yesterday.

Grant McAuley @grantmcauley #Braves farmhand Austin Riley is on fire. He tops @baseballamerica's latest Prospect Hot Sheet. The @mbraves third baseman batted .522/.560/1.043 (12-for-23) with 8 XBH, 6 RBI, 2BB/4K last week.

Cincy forecast isn't great, but if it holds, I suspect they'll manage to get the game in. A delay or three wouldn't surprise me, though.

If we keep postponing games when it rains much less than .1" over the entire course of when the game would have been played (i.e. yesterday) we're going to see a lot of rain outs.

Wow...the Reds lineup is really anemic. Highest batting average is Scooter Gennett at .271 and no one is in double digits for RBIs. The Braves really need to take advantage of this four game series with the Mets at the Cardinals and the Phillies hosting the Diamondbacks.

The current batch of light rain should be through the area by 5:30. Intermittent light showers(<15 DBZ) may linger a bit. A batch of showers, mostly light, to the SE is diminishing slightly in intensity and coverage and is moving mostly north and the bulk of it should pass to the east but the area could get clipped with a few of those showers(mostly light rain, 15-25 DBZ, with only about 25% moderate rain > 30 DBZ) between 6:30 and 7:30. Both the RAP and HRRR are optimistic over the 7-10 PM period with both showing less than .1" throughout the period. Let's hope we can play ball. I'll update after dinner.-PA
GO BRAVES!

The batch of showers to the south has diminished significantly in coverage and intensity over the last 15 minutes. Rain is all light to very light now and it appears that it will stay mostly to the east.

Kelsey Wingert @kelswingert We’ve been talking about the #Braves aggressive base running this season... down in @gostripers, Acuna just led off the inning with a walk, then stole second and third in Tyler Flowers’ AB and scored on a groundout to first.
