Braves: After placing Anibal Sanchez on the 10-day DL with a right hamstring strain, the team did not immediately announce a new starter for Thursday night's game against the New York Mets. RHP Lucas Sims, recalled Sunday to pitch in relief, could start. Matt Harvey (0-1, 4.80 ERA) pitches for the Mets.
Mets: Begin a 10-game road trip Thursday night that takes them to Atlanta, St. Louis and San Diego. The only big league club still unbeaten on the road this season, New York is 6-0 away from home for the first time in team history. RHP Matt Harvey (0-1, 4.80) starts the opener of a four-game series against the NL East rival Braves.

Wisler gets the start tonight. Lane Adams DFA'd. Arrrrrgh, I can't believe we let Adams go and kept Bourjos. I hope to hell it wasn't because of salary. Bourjos is completely useless. Adams is fast and fine defensively. So we let a guy go with a 129 wRC+ and kept a guy with a wRC+ of 11. OPS of .793 vs. .390.

I told y'all it would be Wisler.
Of course though... that begs the question of why we called Sims up if not to be the long reliever/spot starter... but I digress.
I am really struggling with the dfa of Adams and keep Bonjourno

But it wouldn't be the first time the Braves have made such a move.

Think about it... we dfa'd Adams to get 1 start from Wisler.
5+ era in almost 300 innings at the MLB level...
and we had Sims on the roster who could have gone.
I think we go into tonight with only 3 positional reserves.

Good evening, ladies and germs! I was hoping to come back from Vegas to find that we brought up Acuna. Instead I find we get rid of Lane, Freddie has a near miss with his wrist, and Sanchez is on the DL. Bourjos, who shouldn't be playing past the Instructional league, is still hanging around. I wish all teams should be made to explain every move they make so they can hear how asinine they sound. On a brighter note, Vegas kept some of my money but I kept my shirt. I'll let y'all know after tonight's game whether or not it's good to be back home.
