I thought even though Arcia has average range at best he was pretty good defensively last year, but he's playing Golf Glove caliber defense this year. If he can OPS .730+ and play good defense like this....we have him for $2M next year and a club option for $2M again for 2026. What a steal for what he's giving us. He and Dansby were really similar on offense last year, Dansby had a 4.7 WAR and Arcia 2.4 with the difference completely on defense. This year Arcia is 1.1 WAR so far and Dansby 0.8 WAR. Dansby is making $25M this year and $25M to $27M per year for the next five years. Dansby is in his age 30 season and Arcia in his age 29 season. We could easily extend him two more years at about $7.5M per year and still be getting away with murder. I said from day 1, along with most sane humans, I wouldn't have given Dansby more than $12-15M year and that is proving to be an accurate assessment. Really glad we let him go and we've been so fortunate to have Arcia step up like he as. It's such a bonus it makes me giggle like a child and pee myself a little.

We will need all the cash we can as we attempt to resign Max for a reasonable (hopefully) amount. Sadly, we may try to extend Ozuna too. He’s playing too well not to consider it. Have to see if he keeps it up though.

I think it’s a given we’ll extend Ozuna at least 2 more years. At this point why not, we’ve already sold our souls and he’s definitely helping us. If it’s working, might as well keep the band together.

We like them under team control.. extended really early if we can, and then on the backend of their contract life. That big contract in the middle when they come off of team control... not so much.

The Dodgers will offer him a gazillion dollars...... probably 2 gazillion if they don't win it this year.

Amazin' how Dansby had his very best year during his contract season. Funny how that works (beware of Ozuna).
