We need a good game from the offense to make sure we can win this series.
Lort help some folk here if we lose another game. They will declare the season over.

Peter Moylan just had in my opinion, one of the dumbest takes I've ever heard.
Talking about the pitch clock and it's possible relationship to an increase in arm injuries, they were talking about recovery time between the pitches before torquing the arm again.
Moylan said he thinks the pitch clock actually makes it better for pitchers arms because the games ending 30-45 minutes quicker gives them extra time for their arm to recover before they have to pitch in their next game.
Thinking an extra 30 minutes of rest in a 24 hour period has any impact on arm recovery is just silly. It's especially silly when you're saying it's better than the negative impact of having just a few seconds to throw another max effort pitch during an appearance.

Bases loaded, NO out and nothin' As good as a lot of our young players are, they do not play smart. Harris was up there with Chadwick Freaking Tromp behind him, and he swings at the first pitch... out and away, and something you definitely couldn't drive anywhere. Seemingly these guys are completely unaware of the situation they are in. That's where the problem was... I pretty much expected Tromp to lay an egg under pressure.. then we had 2 outs. Harris has got to be smarter than that. Acuña does the same crap... comes up just determined to swing at the first pitch resulting in a weak groundout... especially in high leverage situations. The lack of situational awareness is maddening.

If you pay attention to him he never adds anything of substance, he has very little baseball knowledge and says a lot of stupid things. At first you might wonder how that could be, but if you think about how he pitched, he obviously knew nothing about mechanics, he just slung the ball towards hone plate with no clue where it was going.

I don't know why they even allow a $300 million dollar player to do that. I mean, he obviously ain't smart enough to stop it, so it's up to the organization to stop it.

One last thought about Harris AB last night--I'm not a fan of giving a hitter the take sign on the first pitch, because that may be the only hittable pitch a guy gets in an AB, but given all the factors, he at least should have walked up to the plate for that AB with the idea that there was a zero percent chance he was going to get a fastball IN the strike zone on the first pitch. We had a ton of momentum on our side, the last thing the pitcher was going to do was lay one in there on the first pitch, knowing Harris was going to be full of adrenaline. He got a change up 6" below the bottom of the strike zone and dribbled it. If he didn't see a meatball on that first pitch getting ahead in the count would have been huge, because the pitcher would automatically have to be conscious of not walking in the winning run.
