Acuña relieved he didn't have to bat again with the bases loaded. Right now I couldn't give a rat's ass if he wins mvp. He did not show up...At all.

PLEASE get some real starting pitching next year, Braves. And while you are at it, get some more relievers that don't walk people at crucial times. Strider strikes out a lot of guys, but reality check-- ERA close to 4.00. Fried is unreliable with health. Other than AJ S-S, they have nothing close to being ready in the minors next year. Please make Elder a long reliever. You see what dominant SP does in the playoffs (Braves hit .185 for the series)? What a waste....back to back 100+ win seasons, and not just losing in the first round, but getting your ass KICKED both times. So dissapointing.

And for everyone who claimed they weren't concerned about facing the Phillies? You need your heads examined. What more proof do you need?

Another year of 100+ wins and another exit in the NLDS. We had the best offense and middle of of the pack pitching. If the best offense in baseball doesn't perform I'm not sure what you can do. 8 runs in 4 games. Even a great pitching staff isn't likely to succeed if the offense fails like that. You can get another good pitcher or two but it probably wouldn't matter in a series like this where the offense just didn't really do anything. I guess that's where we look to improve but even that doesn't guarantee post season success but it couldn't hurt. Do we sign Max Fried? Do we resign Charlie Morton? Who do we target in free agency? Will Elder bounce back? Will Waldrep be ready at some point? Will Soroka take the next step to being a serviceable starter? Will AJSS take the next step? Lots of questions that I have no answer.

I like Charlie, but at 40, he’ll just be another regular season asset. We need post season dawgs

Fried is still under contract with the Braves in 2024. His UFA year is 2025. Morton's at 20 million club option for 2024. They need serious upgrades.

Yep...Ronnie will be on the next flight to Caracas so he can enter the bottle cap home run derby. He might even bring some of his body armor in case they come up and in to him. My God what a disappointment.

Let’s play 162 games. Get the best record and you are rewarded w 5 days off. Plus don’t reseed meaning Braves would have played DBacks and Dodgers play Phillies .
MLB has to do something. This doesn’t help division winners w best records.

I’d let Morton walk. Trade Fried to Angels.
Go sign Bellinger.

I'm not going to follow what transpires this offseason, I'm getting too old and have too many great things getting ready to happen, things I really need to care about and focus on in real life.
But my #1 suggestion to start straightening this mess out is firing the effing manager, for many reasons.
At this point, there is a serious leadership problem on this team.....Acuna is/should be the leader but for the most part he did not show up in the post season. After that, what leadership is there? The only "success" the manager was ever able to "produce" was writing in the same names every night and then they went out and performed during the regular season. Patting the guys on the back and saying "you can do it" isn't leadership. As the captain his team has crapped itself two years in a row. There were extenuating circumstances, but being the morale guy he's supposed to be, he was not able to say the right things or make the right moves. And it should not go overlooked, he should be held ultimately responsible.
This team needs a completely new fresh outlook and a guy who can actually manage.
FYI, Pillar is now 3 for his last 37 post season ABs. But he's just one of the failures, not even one of the main ones, just fun to point out because it's so obvious he isn't a big league ball player yet Snitty is so in love with him and has over used him so much. His failure to score from 3rd was a killer in the 7th, as was his crucial AB in the 9th. He wasn't alone in losing this game or this series, but he sure did his part no doubt.
All the suck ups are going to claim this series wasn’t Snitwits fault, but I think plenty of things he did along the way led up to this. I still feel it’s wrong to try to play guys 162 games even if they want to. There’s a legit reason that’s not been done traditionally. It wears guys down and most likely they’re playing with little nagging injuries by the end. We clearly had a letdown after we won 3 of 4 in LA. The guys played intense all year and they played every single day. I submit once we clinched the guys were so worn down mentally and physically they had a huge letdown, which would be natural, but were never able to regain that intensity, focus and confidence. And the bench players were never allowed to stay sharp the whole year. Murphy and Rosario were yanked around, couldn’t stay sharp as they lost a lot of ABs along the way. We didn’t get Grissom up to the big league level for a long time, then all of a sudden he’s batting knowing he’s the last out of our season. There was so much mishandling of players it’s just flat ridiculous and shouldn’t be ignored or tolerated.
