Why isn’t Winans getting this start?

Why isn’t Winans getting this start? Sarge is throwing this one away?

At least he's sitting Acuña. Sit him a week if you need to is what I say. 40/70 is not nearly as important as having him at 100%

David O'Brien @dobrienatl · 1h Pillar's in right field for Acuña, who left Friday's game in the eighth inning with right calf tightness. This the first time he's not been in the lineup all season (started one game at DH).

Why isn’t Winans getting this start? Sarge is throwing this one away? Winans is clearly not one of them baseball player guys to Saggysack.
I'm not trying to say that Winans is the second coming of Tom Seaver, but he beats the hell out of the trash we've been putting out there as our 5th starter all year.

So Shuster only gives up 4 runs. That's a pretty good inning for him.

Call upheld. How ignorant.
We might be trying to help the Marlins possibly knock the Faillies out a wild card spot.

Shuster might eventually be a decent pitcher, but it ain't eventually yet.

Close .....but he was safe. If it's not absolutely clear then the call on the field stands.

Shuster might eventually be a decent pitcher, but it ain't eventually yet. Certainly don't want him on the playoff roster. Speaking of that, it's going to be really interesting who makes it.

Shuster might eventually be a decent pitcher, but it ain't eventually yet. It's remarkable how significant the difference is between Winans, Dodd and Shuster, and yet Dodd and Shuster are obviously still higher on the totem pole. One thing weird about Winans, he doesn't look all that impressive, but he's had 3 out of 4 good outings in the big leagues, has good minor leagues numbers, and his K numbers with us and in AAA are really good for a guy who looks pretty average by the eye test. But he's not being given the starts he should get. Go figure. Snitkeromics.
