I guess theoretically (based on record) the Braves schedule gets a bit easier over the next month. But we know that doesn't always work that way.

Braves fatten up on crap teams. It's the good teams we have problems with... We'll find out these next 4 games if the Phils are good or not.

This would be a convenient time to point out that after all the hub-bub over signing Trea Turner this is his numbers so far this year:
.250/.295/.392/.687 wRC+ 83 WAR 0.7 (19th among all MLB SS)
striking out at a 27% rate and only stolen 6 bases, one of his "strong suits"
By comparison, for eleventy billion dollars less, here's Arcia:
.313/.371/.510/.882
wRC+ 139 WAR 1.0

I figure some degree of regression is likely for Arcia. However I believe he is plenty capable of finishing with a .280/.340/.450/.790 which would plenty suffice in my opinion, especially at his price. It is funny to see the Phils overpay for drastic underperformance from Turner.

Tonkin to IL with strained neck to accommodate the call up of Dylan Dodd.

I feel like if he keeps playing serviceable defense and ends up with an OPS around .730 to .750 we're ok. Anything better than that would be a bonus.

Tonkin to IL with strained neck to accommodate the call up of Dylan Dodd. Some day MLB is going to invent "The Braves rule" because we abuse the IL so blatantly. The timing of when guys suddenly get injuries at just the right time and how often it happens is more than coincidental.
If Harris was a a fringe player he would have already gone on the IL again with a strained left earhole.

Considering how MLB dis the Braves after the international signing scandal under Coppy, I feel no qualms whatsoever about utilizing the phantom IL.

Every team probably does it once in awhile but we do it constantly.
