And the idea of Grissom being trade bait has now significantly gained steam. Though they say Fried won't need TJ surgery as of now, he's still expected to miss a great bit of time. I gotta believe AA is bout to start looking for potential SP acquisition candidates.

I can't remember this many injuries ever in baseball, especially to pitchers. The Phillies lost their ace prospect Andrew Painter and then Ranger Suarez. Hoskins out for year and Hall then got hurt. The Mets have had multiple injuries including Verlander, Scherzer, Carasco, Raley, Quintana, Coonrod, Hernandez and not to mention Diaz and his celebration injury. This is going on around baseball for many teams. Baseball is becoming more of a game of which team can stay healthiest!

Ozuna has entered a no contest plea with his traffic violation issue. $1000 fine as a result and that case is now closed.

I gotta believe AA is bout to start looking for potential SP acquisition candidates. What else is there to do with Grissom? He can't catch the ball, so a corner outfield spot seems likely. Those are among the easiest roster spots to fill, though. He doesn't hit at a DH level power-wise. He's sort of a player with a good bat but no position. He's young enough to have good value, so that's a plus.

Seems the thing that excites announcers and their ilk most these days is the time that it takes to play the game.

But if it's indeed creating more injuries or playing a big part in it, its not worth it to me. I dont mind a game that goes quick because of solid effective pitching, but these artificially quickened games just aint it. Is it really that hard for people to hold their attention for 3 hours?

Maybe a good depth piece/PH piece for someone, but with d'arnaud back and left field with someone slotted in there every night, there just ain't a place for him here. He's a natural 2B, but obviously Braves have Ozzie so there truly isn't anywhere left for him now with this team.

No... football games come on at 1 and don't finish until 4:30 with 1 play happening every 45 seconds.... time outs, halftimes etc. Anyway not sure the pace of play is related to injuries.

Maybe it's just coincidental as far as the injuries go.

Hard to say where he goes defensively.

Possibly. If this keeps up they will have to look into it for sure. With all the hard throwers now pitching so quickly with little rest between pitches.
