Berti doesn't dare try Acuna who fires a bullet right on target.

We got a break. Berti should have tied the game on that fly ball. good chance Ronnie gets him on a play at the plate.

Maybe Acuna just needs to back off the plate a little more to stop all the pitching inside. He gonna get seriously hurt either by a pitcher or swinging and fouling balls off every body part.

He's striking out ~40% more this year compared to his career. The production is mostly there but that is a significant rise in Ks that is a bit worrisome. Yeah isn't it sometbinf like 43% k rate thus far? That's sky high, I figure it will come down to a more reasonable 30-32% rate and with hitters like him, strikeouts are just gonna happen, 42% is a lot through indeed. It should eventually drop into the low 30s-- while still high for the average player, that's workable for a power hitter/run producer like him 34%, which is not good for a 2nd place spot.
At least it's not as stupid as the Faillies batting Schwarber leadoff. He hit .218 last year, struck out 30% and hit 46 HRs. They had a weak bottom of the order so to me his power wasn't even paying off. He's striking out about the same this year in the leadoff spot, hitting .190 and on pace to hit 35-40 HRs. Derp.
