Our new play by play guy, Brandon Gaudin? We've had enough time now to evaluate him.
I think I like him. He doesn't seem to have any exceptional signature calls and I'm sure Joey would say he's no <insert Phaillies announcer name here>, but he seems to be solid, professional, and doesn't have an aneurism every time a fly
ball is hit to the outfield at medium depth.

I think he's pretty good so far, no doubt way better than Chip.

Like him too.
Did watch Cardinals vs Braves and was watching the Chip telecast for about 1/2 inning. Needed to change it to Braves feed.

I like him. He can actually call a routine fly ball to the outfield like it's a routine fly ball to the outfield.

I remember Chip going berserkers on fly balls and then the outfielders coming IN a couple steps and catching the ball. That stupid drawn out fake laugh of his was just as annoying.

There was another word he used to say for certain low line drives over the infield but the network actually got onto him for saying it so much and he quit saying it altogether. |

Anyone would've been better than Chip. I watch the Braves through mlb.tv and actually now listen to the Braves feed. Last year I would always...I mean always listen to the visiting teams feed. That's how horrible Chip was. I actually like Gaudin for the most part. Now with that said, he's no Scott Franzke or dare I say Harry Kalas who is perched on top of Mt Rushmore of announcers...  |
