This milquetoast fans bullcrap is so demonstrably false that I'm pretty sure it's being done just to troll and antagonize people. The rabid hardcore dedicated fans on da skreets of Philadelphia agree with you!

As I previously stated, the only excuse for this would be if there was a high school football game between Milton and Roswell going on ... Now tell me im lyin...

Ah game 1... what at 1 in the afternoon.. before the game got going... Cherry pick much? Everyone of us here watched almost every game and saw with our own eyes how full the stands were... all season.. even back when we were 10 games out in 3rd place, while Philly was drawing 14,000 www.espn.com/mlb/attendance

He’s wrong in all his beliefs that the Faillies fans are more dedicated and better fans. And who cares even if they were? I’m satisfied we have a good fan base. Our fans and media are nowhere near critical enough of things that should be criticized or questioned, for my liking, but that’s true in most places and it’s just my opinion anyway. Maybe I’m wrong. Who cares and why does it even matter, to the point of arguing about it for years with no end. He’s been pushing that narrative for years and now he’s all over it in a season where we outdrew them by almost a million fans. He can troll on but I’m not arguing this stupid point anymore. He obviously gets fixated on stupid arguments, probably on purpose just to entertain himself. Our fans were lauded by media and opponents last year for being so loud and into the games during the playoffs. And here we are still arguing a stupid pointless premise. Imagine that.

Philly is a pro sports town. End of discussion. Now there might be some talk on the periphery regarding Penn State football or Villanova basketball if they're in the finals. But make no mistake. Philly talk radio is pro sport driven...with the Eagles heading the list and everyone else 2nd place. John Kincade used to host 790 The Zone in Atlanta for years. He is now on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philly. He said that interest in pro sports between the two cities are Polar opposites. Pro sports in Philly is religion. Pro sports conversation in Atlanta fills the void from when high school football to college football starts. Not religion. It's not to say that pro sports interest doesn't exist. It's just not nearly to the exuberance and passion of Philly. Now that's a fact. I'm not saying one fan base is better than another. The Cardinals fan base some say is the best in baseball. How do you measure that? Attendance? Merchandise sales? Talk radio show passion? One thing for sure..they think they actually invented the game and can be annoying. But they hardly, if ever boo. Even when warranted. Braves fans drew over 3m fans which was incredible. Phillies a little over 2m I believe. But now that they're in it, they are loud, vocal, relentless, agitating, annoying and distracting to an opposing team. Not all cities are like that. But Philly is and they are proud of it.

Guess what.... no one here gives a crap about Philly and their inflated view of their sports fandom superiority. Most of these fans use this inflated self view as an excuse to be dicks, and to do stupid crap like throw batteries.... although I guess one could argue that when Atlanta fans threw crap on the field a few years back that we were displaying our awesome sports passion.
We made jokes here all year about the half empty Philly stadium, but I digress. I don't really give three shits about people from Philadelphia, and find that many if not most of them are just jerks.
I'm glad our fanbase is exactly how it is and having attended many games here since the 1970's, and have no issue with Atlanta fan's passion.

One really big offseason move I'd like to see is addition by subtraction--get rid of Blowzuna. Whatever it takes.
There was a rumor that we almost moved him for Avisail Garcia at the trade deadline. They have similar upside and were both really bad in 2022, Ozuna hits for a little more power and Garcia can play OF better than Ozuna. So can my 83 year old dad. But Garcia would be quite a bit better than my old man.
Ozuna has 2 years left and Garcia has 3 years left. We owe Blowzuna $32M and we would owe Garcia $36M if we did a straight up trade of the two players. I wouldn't be surprised to see these talks come up again this winter.
I'm at the point where I would do this trade just to bid farewell to Blowzuna. It's better than cutting him and paying him $32M.

Heard rumors of Ozuna for Yankees Aaron Hicks also. 2years/$32M for Ozuna and 3years/30.4M for Hicks.

He’s had a couple of putrid seasons in a row, I think he’s been hurt and played hurt a lot. He’s a switch hitter and can play some defense, I already like it a lot. Worse case if he flops we cut him after two years and we’re done with the whole mess. Maybe he and Blowzuna just need a change of scenery. That expression gets overused but these are two guys who really need it.
