Strider is the latest to get an extension from the Braves. He has a six-year, $75M deal that runs through the 2028 season. The deal includes a $22M option and a $5M buyout for 2029.

High risk high reward situation.
He had the 8th highest WAR among pitchers in all of baseball this year.
16th best ERA.
1st by far in strikeouts per 9 innings at 13.81.
1st in FIP and 1st in xFIP.
15th in WHIP.
Arguably an elite starter as a rookie. If he comes anywhere close to keeping up this pace it's a steal but it's always risky with any pitcher in regards to injuries.
Kudos to Liberty Media for stepping up and shelling out the money, we had a big salary jump this year and they are really stepping up locking all these guys up for so long. I really felt like they should dump some money into the team because we'll make so much in the playoffs the next 5-10 years but they've done more than I had even hoped for.
