Snit said it again tonight!! "Flaherty was just one of those baseball player guys I admired from afar". I'm pretty sure he winked after saying it. He's definitely got a chubby for Flaherty. The guy has been an All Star so far this year, but I wonder how much of an issue it's going to be for Snitker to let it go when he starts regressing.

The more he uses "baseball player guy" the more I think he's in on the joke, which makes me like him more.

Snits postgame comments, May 2nd
Said Dansby had something a little sore... may give him the day off to rest it. I missed whatever "it" was.
He said 3 times that Newk could have pitched all night if had let him. In the 1st 1:27 seconds of the post game he said "real good" 11 times.

He's been fighting a sore wrist. Probably girlfriend troubles. Happens to every guy sooner or later.

He's been fighting a sore wrist. If Lieutenant Dan can't whoop a sore wrist's ass, we don't need him anyway........

Soooo Snitker...
How much of the Braves success do you personally attribute to Snit?
Many feel he's fantastic because of a non-measurable... some sort of clubhouse camaraderie thing where players just want to play for him.
It's time however to look at the rest of the coaching staff the Braves have assembled. We've got a very experienced former manager in Walt Weiss as our bench coach, not to mention Washington with a lot of managerial experience himself; managerial experience that took teams to the WS.
Our base running is excellent most of the time. I admit Washington has made a couple of questionable decisions on sending runners home, but we've been pretty good on the basepaths. I attribute a lot of that to Eric Young Sr.
I don't know how to judge Seitzer, but we generally hit...
We've got big crazy Sal Fasano doing a good job with out catchers..
So not to disparage Snitker at all, but I think there are a lot of solid pieces around Snit that probably deserve a shoutout for their part in the Braves success.

Perhaps the Braves are good despite Snitker? I'm still surprised the Braves' secondary coaching talent is so good. Weiss might always leave again if he gets another managerial opportunity and Washington could as well.

And just like you were saying about his staff having so much experience it takes a Snitker type manager to let it all work together. he puts guys in place By there Strengths and then allows them to do there Job. Snitker seems to be the type to trust his players and coaches and they all know that . Snitker is the perfect manager for todays players
