I don't think anybody mentioned Evan Gattis. I guess maybe because he was only with us for two years. I should have made him an honorable mention. It's funny how quickly he was out of baseball, but then again he was really outspoken about how terrible it was what the Astros did with the sign stealing bullcrap. He was maybe the only player who manned up and admitted it was wrong afterwards. And then poof his career was over. Interesting how telling the truth has become a thing that will get you in trouble in this world.
Interesting read here, I forgot how much he spoke out after it was all over, much respect for him doing that:

I like Gattis a lot, but his tenure here was just too short. If I listed every player I like a lot then a list of my top favorites becomes pointless: I could list 100 names if I did that.
Gattis was great though... "the star that burns brightest...."

I agree, I had to draw the line somewhere because I was just considering my very favorite players, he’s just one I forgot to add to the honorable mention list. I liked him a lot when we had him, but a whole lot more after he spoke out about what Astros did. Remember how brutal he was in LF? Epically horrible. Great story though, what he went through and then made it to the big leagues. It really sucks that he obviously got blackballed out of baseball, his reward for standing up and taking responsibility for the wrongdoing. The others were all chickenpoops and they didn’t get penalized at all. Quite a message for baseball to send.

Here's a new and exciting topic for discussion. List your top 10 favorite Barves players of all time. I'm going to list mine in order, but everybody can feel free to just list 10 in no particular order if you want. Or list however many you want. List 15 or 20 if you want. You can list 10 and then some honorable mentions. However you want to do it.
My top 10:
1. Chipper Jones 2. Hank Aaron 3. Fred McGriff 4. Freddie Freeman
5. John Smoltz 6. Dale Murphy
7. Ralph Garr 8. Darrell Evans 9. Ozzie Albies 10. Brian Jordan
Honorable mentions: Ron Gant Deion Sanders Terry Pendleton Ronald Acuna Gary Sheffield Martin Prado Julio Franco John Rocker (in the beginning!)
NEWLY UPDATED LIST.

Freeman can go to hell. What a bald-faced liar he turned out to be. He had no intention of coming back here. I hope Olson is the best 1st baseman in the game for the next 8 years.

I'm kind of wondering now if FFFF wanting to go to L.A. is the reason he didn't sign last year to avoid all this craziness. We've assumed it was the Braves fault for not getting this done early, but maybe FFFF was the one holding out and neither side waned to say it publicly.

With Freeman wearing that uniform, with no apologies I feel comfortable Booing him. Not because of the way business went down but he is now wearing that detested LAD uniform.
Going back to the NL West days that was our most hated team. Perhaps some hated the Big Red Machine more.
As for the way the business of the off season came out, we would up smelling like a Rose and looking like a 5 star hotel and restaurant
Matt Olson he's my man throw FF down into the garbage can. Noting personal, its all about the front of the uniform.
Maybe he thought he would get a Pujols crazy kind of deal, the avv was even less than the 28m per the Braves were supposedly offering. Guess we were not lowballing after all. That crazy 8-10 yr deal for 32 yr old guys is not out there anymore - GMs have wised up and doing it smarter

That Gattis trade never sat well with me, despised it from day one. Even more for having to stomach frustrating Folty for five yrs, was none too happy to see that head case inconsistent BUM gone.
I really liked Gattis, I know he was not the best all around player out there but had the great story, personality and power.
If we had a top 10 least liked Braves tread Folty would definitely be in my top 10. Melvin Jr would have to be number one.

I've thrown FFFF down the elevator shaft where he belongs.
Eff him and his big sappy phony Beaver Cleaver act. I'll boo his fake ass if I ever get a chance to in person.
"Well golly gee heck Wally, it sure would be neato if I could play for the Braves my whole career."
What really irks me about it is by dragging things out (when he knew he wanted to play in L.A.) he could have cost us dearly with how we dealt with losing him. Thank god AA was on top of it and made his moves before things dragged out too long and we were left hung out to dry.

I'm not going to get too down on the guy. He toughed it through the rebuild and helped us win a championship.
It worked out for us with Olson... we weren't left holding our wankers, and we got what a lot of folk see as the new big thing at 1B for a number of years.
I'm only going to hate him just like I hate all Dodger players.

One thing about it, if Fake Freddie wants to get into acting, he won't even need any training. He's got it down pat already.

One thing I can’t stand in life Is a phony. I can’t even read his note to the fans it smells so bad as soon as I start on it I have to stop. Yeah he did what he did for us for the good and I was a big fan of the player and the person, that was in a different lifetime.

Guess I will bump Rico Carty again as one of my favorite Braves
Too bad Rico Carty had the injures he had but be resurrected himself as a real good DH in the AL later on in his career. He missed two yrs in 1968 with TB and 1971 after the great 1970 season. I think he was the first all-star who got voted in as a write in back in 1970.
In those days the ASG mattered to me
