Vogt now 0-3 tonight, hitting .194 But he's 4 for his last 48.
Giving Kevan a run for his money.
Man, I was going to post something similar about Vogt getting into the Fabulous Leon territory Vogt deserves to be Booed and replaced. Elevator shaft is deserved his BA is actually .155 since he has been here

It probably would make the game more enjoyable if they ban the shift, but I think it's a joke it would have to come to that. Players should be able to hit the ball where they ain't, period. To me Freddie Freeman epitomizes the way a modern hitter should be. He hits for power, he hits for power to all fields, and he sprays the ball. He works super hard on his swing, maybe that's the difference, most guys don't want to do all that work to be a well rounded player.

That is fair to say but then again Freddie Freeman is a much better player than most hitters of any generation This game would be so much more enjoyable without the shift and the launch angle all over the place The shift is used too much. This was a better game without the hyper analytics that we have today. Sure there were shifts for certain hitters and information was around but the spread sheets of today have taken away much of my enjoyment of what this game used to be 1969 to 93 - that was the golden age of baseball for me there was overall balance in the game - it was a fair game with pitching and hitting.

Heredia and Vogt should be off the team tonight. You are better off just forfeiting their at bats. Heredia is useful. Vogt isn't.

You're correct about the work, but everybody isn't capable of being as good as Freddie. He's a gifted hitter on top of all the work. That's why it was so concerning to see his numbers early this year. That type of slump just doesn't happen to Freddie Freeman. Turns out that it did happen to him. Thank God

Well, and then cry because they get robbed of hits when they pull the ball into the shift.

Heredia has been overall quite good and I would not mind him being in a bench role next yr - just have to see what the roster would look line He gets on base and he is a useful OF, can be a useful insurance guy till Pache is ready at some point next yr.

Don't you think part of that is this launch angle BS that guys are being coached into this day in time. Its as if everybody is coached to being 25 HR man this day in time. Its not fair cause its culling out guys who would be good ballplayers even if they did not hit with the power The beauty of the game the way it was once played is not everybody was supposed to be a fence banger, there was a place for the 5 foot 10 160 pound guy who had legs, get on and do a good job in the field. That is the game I grew with One guy I am thinking of is Mallex Smith whom I thought had some talent but not the HR power that is pushed in todays game. He did have a couple of pretty good average and OBP yrs Where would guys like Matty Alou and Ralph Garr fit in todays game. Juan Pierre another one. There should be a place in this game for the table setters with a little speed

Heredia is just a guy......he's a career .667 OPS guy and he's almost come down to that level now for this year. Good defensive player though, for what that's worth. But if you're just a .667 OPS guy, those are a dime a dozen.

In theory, it should be easier to hit the other way, since you have a split second longer. It's like a lefty that can't hit lefties. They don't work at it hard enough.

Learning how to be a good all around hitter would be more beneficial for most guys, but that's a fundamental and for some crazy reason MLB no longer cares about fundamentals.

And, as we know he will not hurt you in the field. As a regular CF, of course you hope that a kid like Pache can get it. Maybe next yr hopefully

ALRIGHT YOU CORK SOAKERS, WE NEED SOME RUNS!
Anybody who thinks we're going to win this game 4-3 is sorely mistaken, they've obviously forgotten.......
