Gwinnett just won in Louisville again, 10-5. They've won the first four games in that series and they are now 31-8 since July 8th.

They play weirdly long series in the minors, don't they?

They play weirdly long series in the minors, don't they? They're just doing that this season, they're playing 6 games series. I guess it somehow cuts down on their Covid fears, I've never really heard an explanation why, but I'm sure it has something to do with that.

I see where the Braves have four prospects ranked in the top 100. Per MLB website.
Langliers and Harris have vaulted in there. Pache still ranked number 40 and Waters number 86. I still like Pache and with Muller 5th in the system he did show some good things in his time here. I hope he develops the command, there was alot to like and some things to improve on but is that not the case with all young pitchers.
I just hope he does not get yo-yoed like we do with some of them. I am guessing that Muller is no longer eligible for the top 100 now but not sure. And I guess Contreras is no longer in the prospect rankings due to enough MLB time.
I really want to get a good long look at Pache in ST but really not ready to turn the keys over until I am sure he can handle MLB hitting servicably. I would accept an 85 to 90 OPS plus from him now with the hope he can get better.
Its a fair question what the future of Wrignt is -- nearing 26, there are plenty of prospect pitching in the system and as for performance, he has had some good in AAA at times this yr. How MLB ready he is not I do not know. I don't know how other teams are looking at him but what these guys do is always on the tape and scouting reports.

Lets get this one tonight, tomorrow the Orioles send out their one decent pitcher in John Means, who is the one pitcher that gives them a chance on a consistent basis.
I think they sent Dean Kremer back to the minors, he was one of those pieces in that Manny Machado trade to LAD 3 yrs ago. He and Yasiel Diaz were the key group of that bunch they got, but Diaz has not made it (already 24) and Kremer has really struggled.
That was one of those sell offs for quantity and hope some of the stuff sticks when you throw it on the wall. After 3 yrs, its fair to say that did not work - you have to have one of them work for you when you sell off. Maybe one of them work in time, it took time for it to pay in a couple of deals we had
At least in the Justin Upton sell off - it took time but Max Fried is the piece that worked for us. It really worked
And in the Kimbrell thing well, that compensation pick that netted us Austin Riley worked out.
Sometimes it takes 5 yrs for something to work but man it sucks to wait and go through what Orioles fans have right now - at lease we had only 3 yrs of suckage.
