Great play by our stellar defensive third baseman to end the game.
He saw Satan warming up in our bullpen and said "whatever it takes...."

He threw exactly 90 pitches. That's a Maddux, right?

Who threw rhe last complete game for the Braves before tonight? Folty pitched a complete game shutout against the Nats in 2019. I think that was 2018. He threw 2 that year.

One way to Smith Proof the game is do what Max did tonight.
No walking or overthrowing just good old fashioned pitch to contact pitching and getting guys out. The way it used to be.
Like we saw back in the 1970s and 80s that kind of work was done consistently and effectively.
This was baseball. And Aiken did not pitch badly at all, he is a younger pitcher who has to hang in there and not let 0-8 get him in the tank - with the hope his team can get better at some point.
14 of 16 -- we are having it more than good right now. It helps the competition is not as good as it was

Gwinnett just won in Louisville again, 10-5. They've won the first four games in that series and they are now 31-8 since July 8th.
Pache 0-4 Rosario 1-5 with a 3 run HR
Arcia 1-5 Camargo 1-5 HR
Elder made his AAA debut and looked pretty good other than some wildness, which is mandatory to be a young pitcher in our system
5 innings pitched, 3 hits, 2 earned runs, 3 walks and 6 K's

With 11 wins - as its turned out Fried has had a real good season after the bad start and injuries.
Hey, 12 wins this day in time is a good season and 15 is the new 20. Fried and Morton both have a good chance for 15 - not bad.
And the other numbers are quite good.
