Great win, but Smith cost us 2 pitchers tonight. Yep... and Muller isn't known for taking you to the 7th inning. We will probably need to turn to pen around the beginning of the 6th, and we will have to turn to Tomlin and Minter. Thanks Brian! Thanks Will! My crystal ball sees Tomlin coming in around the 4th or 5th inning and pitching 3 innings no matter what the score is tomorrow.

Not one question from anyone in the post-game presser about Will Smith continuing as closer. That's really a shame that we have such milquetoast media covering the Braves.
We all should realize that Smith can blow 10 more games before this season is over and he'll still be the closer, but that doesn't mean the media shouldn't make Snitker at least answer to it every night.

Seriously... how can that not be question 1 from anyone with an ounce of sports-journalistic integrity?

Snit said on his post game presser he likes the way Will Smith is throwing, thinks he threw it well today, and threw better than yesterday. LMAO.

The press did ask Snitker if Smith was still the closer and he said YES! Smith must have something on Snit.

And if we're up by 1 or 2 runs the sumbitch will give up 7 runs but Snitker will leave him in there to eat up the innings.

In his last 19 games Austin Riley is 28 for 77 for a .364 batting average, with 6 doubles, 8 home runs and 24 runs batted in. And he's struck out 21 times.

Don't make too much out of it.. it was a factual observation about his strikeout rate. I think claiming someone thinks it's "the end of the world" is a bit much.

YUGE night for Cristian Pache in game 1 of the DH as Gwinnett beats Durham 4-3 on Pache's laser walk off single in the bottom of the 7th.
Pache also hit a really long three run homer and had a double. He drove in all 4 of the Stripers runs. Eddie Rosario made his first rehab start. That guy has the potential to be a big help to us, but I have a feeling Snitker isn't going to give him much of a chance.
Pache has hit another HR in game 2.
Game 1:
Waters 1-3 Rosario 0-2 Arcia 0-3 Camargo 1-3 2B Contreras 1-3 Pache 3-4 2B, HR
Anderson with 3's all the way across the board. 3 innings pitched, 3 hits, 3 earned runs, 3 K's, 3 walks.
