The Faillies got blasted 13-4 in game 1 of their DH with the Gnats today, lulz.....they now have the exact same record as the Brewers for the last wild card spot with 5 games left. The Faillies last three are in Houston and the Brewers play Arizona at home. Phillies own tiebreaker over Brewers. And they'll still likely choke it away. If they can't beat the Gnats and Cubs they aren't going to Houston and beat the Astros, even with Houston having nothing to play for.

There was a bit piece on it on MLB Network. I think they said the Phillies were 10-14 in September. Meanwhile, the Braves went 18-8!

Hopefully Kindling threw too many pitches to be available tonight.
So sad that the team is in better shape when Jansen is unavailable, but Snitker still runs him out there every chance he gets.

And a bunch of their losses were to bottom feeder teams. And we beat them a bunch of times too, of course. Always have to remind them who their daddy is.

Speaking of tiebreakers, I prefer the NFL way. 1st tiebreaker is won/loss record against your division. 2nd tiebreaker is head to head. Not sure where we'd stand there. Overall record against your division incorporates a lot more games and somewhat mitigates anomalies. After all you are playing to win the division, not the series with another team.

A lot of pitches, but he staggered through it.

Wright escapes further damage but THIRTY pitches! Always a walk in there during a rally it seems.
