What an asinine claim by Hernandez, considering that baseball has eleventy billion video clips supporting claims of his poor performance.

Dansbaby wins…Duvie loses
Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson defeated the Braves in arbitration, a person with knowledge of the situation confirmed. He will make the $10 million he requested instead of the $9.2 million figure the club filed.
Duvall lost in arbitration, another person with knowledge of the situation confirmed. He’s set to make $9,275,000 instead of the $10,275,000 he sought.
The Associated Press first reported this news.

Eddie Rosario (laser eye procedure) has been shagging fly balls during batting practice, hitting in the cage and ramping up his activity overall. “I guess they’re still (talking) about how much activity he can do still,” Snitker said. “But he looks good, sounds good.” Per Justin Toscano AJC
Who will go once he returns? ..probably Michael Harris, but it’s a good problem to have … maybe he just goes to the bench.

Unless Harris is looking awful at the plate then they need to find some other answer.

I like veteran presents as much as anyone, but right now I can think of several different things I would prefer over sending Harris down!

There would be no need to send anyone down position player wise. We are currently only carrying 12 position players but in a week, the rosters are supposed to go back to a maximum of 13 pitchers. There will be room for both Eddie and Harris. The issue will be playing time. Ideally, you platoon Rosario and Duvall in LF and keep things pretty much the way they are.

Rosario finished 17th and 18th in AL MVP voting in 2019 and 2020, and we saw what he can do against the Dodgers in the playoffs last year. He’s too good of a player and we’re paying him too much to platoon him. Wife beater needs to be the odd man out. Yes we’re paying him more but he’s one of the worst players in MLB the last two years. He has a -0.9 WAR during that period and it would be way worse if he was playing in the field every day instead of DHing half the time.
Fangtaphs has beater at a -0.6 WAR this season with only one player worse. If he played in the field every day it would be -1.5. You’re really crippling yourself if you have a guy who really should only DH and he’s sucking doing that. Baseball Reference has him as a -0.8 WAR this year.
We all know what will happen though. Harris will hit a streak of 15 to 20 ABs where he struggles and he’ll be sent down to work on some things. It would be nice if we could find a bad trade swap and dump the beater, we both need a change of scenery.

I shudder to think of how Sarge may handle the situation .

Sargent Bobblenuts will do some crazy things then Harris will be sent down, 100% chance. The only other hope we have is that the players are not happy with the beater and AA moves him for the sake of unity on the team.

I’m all for us just cutting Ozuna but I just don’t see the organization throwing away that kind of money. It’s not as easy as it was with the Mets and Cano. And there is no team out there who will trade anything for him. As stated, he has no real value. It’s kind of a no win situation with him. You play him in hopes of getting some value for the money spent but he clearly is no where near worth it. I’ve been pretty pleased that “Sarge” hasn’t just ridden beater in the four hole every game. He at least moved him down in the order and has been willing to bench him some of late. And if there is anyone who can make the best of a potentially detrimental clubhouse situation, it’s “Sarge”.
Meanwhile, isn’t it great that the team is finally playing well? They finally look like the defending champs they are. Now on to the business at hand - trying to become the first repeat champs since the Yankees in 2000.
