LOL. Same old Newk. Time to part ways and see if another team can fix him. Time to part ways with the pitching coaches at this point, too.

Kevin McAlpin @kevinmcalpin Sean Newcomb has posted a 7.27 ERA (14 ER/17.1 IP) over his last 19 appearances, with 17 hits, 16 walks and 17 strikeouts over that span.
(Yeah, let's play him)

If this year's squad comes back and does something, that'll be great, but I got over this season back around Memorial day.
Some of y'all have this ground-hog day thing where every 3rd game you throw your hands up in frustration as if you finally realized what they are right now is about as good as they will be. It's almost the exact same posts made 3 games back, and 3 games before that one, and 3 games before that one....
lulz

The lack of situational hitting on this team this yr is an abomination. A disgrace
And I put it more on the players who are not doing their job
We blame the manager and coaches for this and that but in the end its the guys who have to do their job and for the most part they have not done so
And as for Newk well, look, how many more dam pitching coaches and this and that will it take to fix him
He is a BUM, he is not good enough for MLB, and yes one of the worst trades the Braves org has made in its history. My favorite GM did that one LOL yea that Mister Incompetence whom I still HATE to this day
The Angels were smart to rid themselves of the BUM they knew what they were doing

Injuries have been harsh but its the lack of performance in situations where this team has underachieved And Mr Unmentionable - no that did not help. Plenty of fingers to point that go beyond the injuries Mostly on the players more than the manager, FO and coaches as far as I am concerned And some prospects (I hate that word) did not sieze the opportunity (Pache, Contreras) when the opportunity was there And I do not want to hear about this and that about stuff and arm, etc (refering to Newk, Minter as the chief culprits on that part). If I were a team owner the first thing I would micromanage on guys is conditioning - would have a football mindset especially on pitchers There are too many relief pitchers in the game as a whole who appear unconditioned. That would change on my team. No six foot 260ish kind of guys on my team No Panda builds on my teram I would give Minter a chance to shape up and do better he has stuff

Maybe we can win one more in this series and hang around 500
No selling - you will not get much in return. Keep Morton and Smyly cause what will you get - someone elses reject prospects do not want that

Just try to stay north of 75 wins at this point.

Just try to stay north of 75 wins at this point. Maybe in that 78 to 80 win range Watch them get on a streak real late when it does not mean anything and maybe get to 82 or 83 W Of course that is better than the rebuild era that was a short time. Unless someone else blows them away with an offer for a Morton or even Smyly, just move on cause I want no part of someone;s B or C level prospect junk

You just have to enjoy the wins and understand that this team as composed is the definition of average. The frustrating part to me is the fact that if we just had a decent bullpen, we'd still be in first place.

LOL. Same old Newk. Time to part ways and see if another team can fix him. Wrong!
Send him to Gwinnett for three weeks then bring him back up, the difference will be shocking, like it has been the last 37 times we've tried it with our relief pitchers. Oh, wait........

We'd be a lot better off to lose the next 7 games and be so far out of it we HAVE to sell at the deadline.
And when I refer to us having a "chance" before Acuna got hurt, what I meant was a chance to win the division and then get slaughtered in the first round. And the only I thought we had that chance because the Mutts and Faillies are nothing special either.
