Glad the FO is not giving up on the season. I am kind of excited about the move. CF & LF are still big concerns. I say put Ender in CF the rest of the year and see if he can get hot.

I like the move for Pederson, hey we did not give up much, who knows if Bryce Ball will ever make the major leagues for more than a cup of coffee if that
We do have to get power from him. As part of a 4 man OF, how about an OF of a healthy Acuna, Marte, (sign him in FA) a better Christian Pache and Pederson. I guess we can keep Heredia in reserve.
I know, I am gambling that Pache will be much better at the plate. It should be within financial reason and hopefully still keep Freddie
We need another bat now though, would love Starling Marte if we can get him for a similar trade.
And of course I am assuming we can get salary releif from the thing with the unmentionable one

Not a bad move, but I'm a little bit puzzled as to why anyone would be excited about this trade. He has been good at times and had a great year in 2019, but has been awful ever since, although he did have a nice playoff run last year. It seems he's going downhill when he should be at his peak. I'm not confident that he'll recapture his 2019 form ever again....... but I hope he can do exactly that.

Ender cannot do it anymore. We wish he could be the player he was as recently as 2018 but its just not there anymore. He was a 3 WAR player that yr even with a lower average. Too bad, he was good going back to his Arizona days - leg injuries did it

Plus the fact remains that a lot of people don't really know very much. They have heard of him.. he played for the Dodgers... must be great. I saw one guy elsewhere post that now with just another bat, two quality relievers, and one starter.. we're still in it! He talked about those things as if you could just snap your fingers and make it all happen.

Atlanta Braves are trading their No. 12 prospect, Bryce Ball, to acquire Joc Pederson from the Cubs
Ball this season in High-A:
53 G, .207 AVG, 6 HR, 40 BB, 59 K Not a fan of a prospect for a 2.5 month rental that probably won't make much of a difference. I agree, especially for a guy who can't hit left handed pitching.

Alex Anthopoulos says “Right now our focus is on adding”
Dear Mr. AA,
STARLING MARTE PLZ K THANX!
I would not have traded Ball for any rental, but it wouldn't have taken much more than that to get Marte, come on!

I would rather have something burned on my tongue with branding iron that to watch Ender bat 3-4 times every game the rest of the year.

The guy is a beast and has a huge upside potential. He's early in his development, I wouldn't have been dead set against trading him but I would have wanted more in return.

I love it when people say add this guy, and that, guy, and this guy, and then they list their entire lineup and bench, and they didn't up any players to get 3-4 good players in return. Magic!

David O'Brien @dobrienatl Joc Pederson is on a flight now, Snitker thinks he’ll be here for the game, but he won’t be in #Braves lineup tonight. Going forward, the plan is for him to bat leadoff and be the regular right fielder.

David O'Brien @dobrienatl Pederson would be available off the bench tonight, Snitker said.
