Aside the lack of talent, this team looks completely stunned after yesterday(understandable). Nobody has put a ball in play through 5 batters. 5 up 5 strikeouts

Look at what we have out there. The entire outfield and the catcher are all minor leaguers. A comeback would not appear to be an option. You could probably add the shortstop to that list. imo we have 3 major leaguers hitting wise in our lineup FF ozzie and riley

At least the offense is putting up a good fight against Cy.

Good to see the boys playing an inspired game for their fallen teammate today. AA just needs to stand pat in regards to 2021 and have his eye completely on 2022.

I hate to say this but my eye test is telling me that Ian Anderson is regressing Too many walks, throws too many pitches and is not learning to pitch to contact Once again, another talented young arm we might be messing up - we hope not but its not getting any better Can anyone around here do anything to help these guys? Is it a lack of an established respected veteran catcher? I have no idea but Mr Alex better come up with something You're really just not a big picture kinda guy, are you? LMAO

So what do you do now? Soroka out for good, Acuña out for good, Ynoa and D'arnaud August at best, do you still try to take a stab and attempt to make an impactful trade sitting around 4 games out right now, or do you recognize the season for what it is and realize there's not really much of a shot to compete this year? Braves don't have much in the way of tradeable prospects to offer anyone.
Probably need to see if they can find a serviceable outfielder that's a step above what they've got now. But as for acquiring a bonafide impact player I think that time has passed. They gotta do something though just to keep the bench from getting thinner than it already is.

The only move I would make would be with an eye on 2022 and/or beyond. I mean, what's the goal, to finish at .500? There's just no point in anything else. We're officially there with Miami, Pittsburgh, and Arizona now. It sucks, but that's where we are.
