I agree with Francouer, that fly ball to LF should have been caught

There's the .500 wall hitting us again. It sure is. Soon, we will be talking about Acunaitis

I hate to say this but my eye test is telling me that Ian Anderson is regressing
Too many walks, throws too many pitches and is not learning to pitch to contact
Once again, another talented young arm we might be messing up - we hope not but its not getting any better
Can anyone around here do anything to help these guys? Is it a lack of an established respected veteran catcher?
I have no idea but Mr Alex better come up with something

What a Charlie-Foxtrot with this pitcher/catcher combination.

Wild pitch takes the double play out. Aqualung has decided to mail it in today.

Look at what we have out there. The entire outfield and the catcher are all minor leaguers. A comeback would not appear to be an option.

Ian should be done for the day. Go with a bullpen game the rest of the day with the all star break beginning tomorrow. It's obvious the only thing Ian is going to do today is get shelled.

Thing is, getting Marte now does no good (I strongly believe the Braves are done for this year), plus he's most likely not signing here past this year. It gives us some kind of fighting chance this year. I’d.still rather win if we can do it without giving up any future pieces. And it gives Marte a taste of what it would be like playing with our guys for the next 2-4 years. Maybe get a taste of playing for a team that could be a contender, he’s never been on one of those. The only thing that may come from it is him going around telling people that our manager smells like the interior of a ‘72 Chevy Nova, but at least we’d get to see Marte play CF every day rather than Ender.
