No way should Dansby be hitting any higher than 7th. Hes quite lucky there isn't anyone tearing it up in AA or Gwinnett, or else he'd have been surely flip flopped with them by now. 31% K rate this season. That should be down in the lineup as far as possible to ensure less opportunities to ruin rallies.

Ian Anderson (R) P Damnsby down a notch. Wow... a whole notch. I would have moved him down as well... down there to the end of the bench. There were a bunch of times during both 2017 and 2018 where Dansby went on 30-40 game streaks where he was lost at the plate and you could see his confidence was absolutely shattered, and Snitker wouldn't sit him then so he's not going to now. Back then I always called for it, not as punishment but as a means to slow things down for him, let him watch once a week or every other week, take some of the pressure off of him......etc etc etc.....and he never did it. I have no doubt in my mind that his growth was affected by it by making him go out there every day when his confidence was destroyed.
I don't see a lack of confidence form him now, I just see a player leveling off and just showing us this is who he is. He could definitely be better, he's shown the potential, but for some reason he cant' stay consistent. Either they've gotten tired of working with him because he just keeps falling back in to the same bad habits, or he's stopped trying to overthink things......but I agree with you that it is frustrating because we can see ourselves things he's doing that are causing him problems, and our highly paid coaches and/or Dansby are doing nothing to change anything.
His saving grace is that he is an excellent mistake hitter, he rarely misses mistake pitches. The bigger problem is that is the only kind of pitch he can hit. If they get the ball up and over the inner half of the plate he's going to nail it. If it's up and on the outer half he'll hit it hard the other way. But if they keep the ball down, in, out, or above the strike zone he can't hit any of those......and he insists on swinging at all of those. His mechanics and lack of discipline on what he swings at are killing him. And us too!

Its up to them not to get their butts kicked by a horse bleep last place team
They have no leeway to get into a slump, either get it on now or forget it for this yr
How bad do you want it. Still seething about that crap last night, unforgivable on all ends.
I never want to see another Braves team like this given what was expected and what has been delivered.
They still have a chance to turn it around and do things right for a change.
Its up to them to either play into contention or play out the string.
What do they have in them

*** WEATHER UPDATE*** METMAN WEATHER SERVICES 6 July 2021 4:25 PM EDT Pittsburgh Metro Area BRAVES GAME FORECAST (7:05 PM) Game Time Forecast: Partly cloudy and still muggy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Temperatures in the upper 80's dropping to the upper 70's to low 80's by 11PM. Winds WSW at 4-8 MPH G17. Max gust tonight is 24 MPH. Any precipitation due to an isolated shower or storm is expected to be <0.1" but a heavier cell or two could bring up to .25" or more. HRRR, NAM, GFS, EURO, and NWS blend show no precip or <0.1" tonight for game time so that's a good sign. I expect only isolated shower activity due to lack of shear and some mixing of dry warmer air aloft. Synoptic scale dynamics are favorable but mesoscale dynamics can sometimes produce somewhat different outcomes locally. However, as with any isolated/scattered activity, the exact location is very difficult to determine. Hopefully it's very isolated and not over the ballpark. Tomorrow: Periods of clouds and sun and very humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, especially mid to late afternoon. Temperatures in the mid to upper 80's. Winds SW at 5-10 G18. Max gust 23 MPH. Precipitation generally expected to be less than 0.1" before 2 PM but scattered showers and storms after 2 PM could bring .1 -.3". -PA GO BRAVES!!!

He’s not going to improve sitting on the bench. He needs to work this out so he can either help the team or increase his trade value.

What do they have in them It's always a stretch to think we can win every game from any team, even last place teams, really the same is true of all good teams. There were a bunch of top teams that lost last night to bad teams. It happens. We took 3 of 4 from the Pirates in Atlanta and we murdered them in the last three games of that series. So it's not a disaster that we lost last night as long as we win the next two. It was not acceptable the WAY we lost, it should have left a burr in our saddle and we need these buttholes ready to make up for it the next two days.

Just a little weather note. If the camera pans to the sky it should look a lot milkier than usual. Besides any cumulus and cirrus clouds there is a high layer of smoke dimming the sun from the western fires.

Yeah, Dansby needs to spray the ball around and make pitchers work. He occasionally hits the other way, but he doesn't make pitchers work at all. He swings at everything like GAPOZ does, but GAPOZ is much better at it than he is. For the most part, Dansby is an easy out.

He needs to work this out so he can either help the team or increase his trade value. It's not going to hurt him to be sat down for a single game or be moved to the bottom of the order. No matter what is going on, you want to see the team doing what is right.
