Yeah, but how does it attach to Smith? Is it just because Smith sucks so bad? In the Leon commercials,The Famous Leon was a guy that no one had ever heard of and he was proclaiming himself to be great and actually got the announcers to believing that he was something special. Kevan Smith came here and the announcers were of course trying to make us peons believe that we really had something and most of us had never so much as even heard of Kevan Smith so I began jokingly referring to him as The Famous Leon.

It doesn't matter.. Leon is now an ourbraves legend.

I like it.

What is going on with Kevin Gausman and how is he doing this? He was a decent pitcher at times with the Braves but not THIS dominant. Is this going to implode on him at some point? Career 4 ERA and he has never been below 3.5 except for a brief stint with the Braves in 2018 (2.87 in 59 innings)
8-1, 1.49 ERA, 54 hits, 20 BB, 0.77 WHIP

On the offensive side, I expect the same thing to happen to Nick Castellanos.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he teamed up with a coaching staff that knows how to get the most out of him. I do expect regression, but he's been pretty good there.

Think he might be Exhibit A in a campaign to oust our pitching coach? Gausman was good in 2018, but totally collapsed in 2019 after Kranitz came on the scene. I never understood why in the hell the Braves hired the guy to begin with. I guess he's a good ol' boy, and the good ol' boy runs STRONG in this organization.

I don't know about that ERA holding up to that, but his numbers for this yr might wind up something way out of the ordinary He did have a decent run with the Braves in 18 and kind of looked like he might justify where he was originally drafted. But he stunk up the joint for us in 19 for us and was fairly good with the Giants last yr in a short yr. Just one of those yrs for him, the SFG are collectively having one of those yrs in a good way. Up and down that roster its just working better than expected for this one year. Good for them. Tip your cap
