hate to say it, but I think it's also career ending

hate to say it, but I think it's also career ending I would tend to agree. I'm obviously no doctor, but it seems this could make it difficult to even walk normally again. I think we forget what a blow this has been to the Braves. It's like losing a Scherzer or Kershaw. You sign so many young pitchers knowing that 2/3 of them fail, then you find a diamond like Soroka and he can't stay healthy. Sucks balls

Soroka is 23, I think it’s a tad early for all the doom and gloom. He gets a cadaver’s tendon, some stitches that his body won’t reject, plus a slow but steady physical therapy, his Achilles could be as good or better than the original. He has to not over extend himself in the rehab process.

the 'future' seemed so bright for our rotation few years ago soroka freid anderson wright wilson etc but now looks kind of bleak I wouldn't call it bleak just yet. Anderson and Fried seem like top of the rotation type guys, and I think Wilson has a solid future. We also found a middle rotation gem in Ynoa. It's taken a hit with Soroka and Wright still needs to learn to throw strikes, but I wouldn't call our rotational future "bleak".

He has to not over extend himself in the rehab process. I agree. We may yet see him back middle of next season, and back to full form in 2023. With the whole rejection of the sutures thing, I think this was just a botched surgery. I am as down about the kid's bad luck as anyone, but I am not throwing in the towel on him. With the way this season has gone, we just seem to be feeling miserable about everything. I think Soroka and the team are still fixable with a strong future.
