I agree about Acuña... ..one day. Right now though, I still think he lacks the maturity. Plus he has elder statesman Freeman looming over him and Daddy Snit standing ready to wag his finger at him every time he gets fired up. I get that, but he doesn't even have to be mature about it, he can be a complete jerkoff and just say the hell with it and rant, just speak up and let it be known the status quo effort is not acceptable.
And I actually think there's a chance that he's mature enough to do it properly, I think he's made some real strides. If nothing else, what might work is for him to just charge the mound the next time he gets beaned, I think he's about ready to do that anyway.

it was a good 3-4 year run but its over till next year...ill still ride with them though i remember the mid 80s man we were a laughing stock very long years suffering through those wow Ditto - and there is enough of a foundation to build around, who would not want to build around Acuna, Riley, the young starters and though he can be frustrating to watch on the mistake and bad AB side, Ozzie Albies has the ability to turn from a pretty good to a great player. One of the mistakes made this off season was handing the keys to Christian Pache who to this point was not ready. He is doing well in Gwinnett at last check and my thinking is when he gets his next chance he will be much much better Also we have the good catching prospect in Langliers, hope he will not be rushed Plenty of money coming off the books this off season. Start with Morton, Smyly and Ender - the unmentionable player is up in the air (would it be nice to be free and clear of that) And of course we do not know where the Freeman thing will go. I will guess they will ride with Dansby for a fair reasonable deal cause I don't think they could pick up anyone better and will not go nuts bidding for one of the stud SS's in FA. You want better than Dansby we will have to develop one. AA is a better GM than he was this past off season. On Snitker, might just ride it out for the rest of this yr and make a move in the off season. yes there is money freeing up but if/when they resign FF a lot if not all will be gone unless these cheap owners open the pocket a little more so AA can sign a quality starter to

I'm shocked he hasn't already. It has made me question his manhood. As in he gets really mad but doesn't have the cojones to do actually make a move. Then again... I think that way about the entire team.

I could be entirely wrong, but I get the feeling that he knows Snitker doesn't want him doing it, and in the back of his mind he might see the possibility that he'll be one man out there fighting about 25 guys.

As for leadership I would put the rent money that we will have a new face in the dugout next yr.
It could be a different personality - one with more fire and thunder that what we have had in the past
This would be AA's first true managerial hire and the old Braves Way we have seen the last 30 yrs could change.
And I do believe that Freeman will go elsewhere - not that I do not believe they will not spend the money but it will be spent differently than on a near 32 yr old guy coming off an off year. My thoughts is the personality of this club could be radically changed - how it works we do not know
I see Acuna and Ozzie as the ringleaders for the future.

In what seems like a short time, this team has gone from
“We won’t quit for Snit”
to
“We have quit on Snit”
to
“We and Snit have quit”
The casual attitude on this team is sickening and getting worse with each loss and drop in the standings.
