I will not watch either, but I want Riley to get the honor. I’ll take it a step further. I’m not watching and I really hope any Brave player who is chosen does not participate. I sort of like that but why punish our player(s) who work hard to make that game If Manfred ever shows up at our park we should protest his existence. He has screwed us over twice since he has been in office. This and of course the over the top punishment for Coppygate. But that is old history we have recovered from Coppygate since.

Davidson has earned his chance to start a big game for us and this is his chance tonight. Hope he does well.

Where’s our effin’ weatherman, doesn’t look real good up there for tonight’s game. 😀😟⛈☔️ 30-50% chance of rain between now and continuing through around 8-8:30. They will probably get the game in... sometime. Right now the radar is clear around the CBP.

Ask and you shall receive...
*** WEATHER UPDATE*** METMAN WEATHER SERVICES 9 June 2021 4:15 PM EDT Philadelphia Metro Area BRAVES GAME FORECAST (7:05 PM)
Game Time Forecast: Pretty much the same scenario as yesterday. Partly to mostly cloudy with temps in the low to mid 80's (cooler if thunderstorms have occurred) falling to the mid 70's 11 PM. Quite humid with dew points remaining in the low 70's throughout the metro area. Winds generally W at 3-6 MPH. Max gust 21 MPH (thunderstorm associated before 8 PM). Once again, showers and thunderstorms in the vicinity but model derived expected precipitation is generally <.1". 19Z HRRR is encouraging. There is little atmospheric dynamics today other than solar insolation (i.e. daytime heating) and minimal orographic lift to support extended shower activity in the Philly area after sunset although remnants can sometimes stick around for several hours. Most rainfall should occur before 7 PM and should be decreasing in intensity eventually dissipating after sunset although some could persist a while longer. A heavy shower or thunderstorm between 7 PM and 8 PM or a bit later is still possible. Very fast dissipation is expected with any showers and storms still around at 9 PM. I expect most of the activity in PA to stay to the north and west but some of that could reach into the metro area. Showers and storms will be slow moving but somewhat faster than yesterday. Severe weather is not expected although heavy downpours and frequent lightning could occur, mostly before the game time hours but possible later into the evening hours. Current radar isn't impressive but additional development is expected to the north and west between now and game time. I'll check the radar before game time.
-PA GO BRAVES!!!

I don’t think it would be punishment. They still would have the honor of being selected. And I think most players would rather have the time off anyway. Bottom line, after MLB unfairly punished the organization for something they had absolutely no control over, the players owe it to the organization to turn their backs on this year’s ASG. Just my two cents worth.
