Who the hell ever heard of this Fla guy or guess we can call him Flea? And Santana, he is useless
Both bums are as useless if not more useless that the garbage that has been thrown out there this yr - release them both
AA messed up with the pen this yr but was he allowed to spend enough to put together the pen after his druken sailor approach to having to have Smyly and Ozuna.
Ozuna should never take a MLB field again he is washed up and Smyly was a never was never mind a has been a never was
No way this team sees the good side of .500 this yr

. Don’t share your optimism on the division. Too much inconsistency and just not the same feel as the last three years. This is a 75-80 win team at best. 83 to 85 in my opinion and that will be enough. Because they're going to evolve and stop playing like this. But eking by and winning the division isn't that impressive in my opinion.
It's just not as embarrassing as winning 70-75 games and finishing 3rd or 4th.
Come on man, this team as its playing now is a joke and I would be surprised to see this cast of losers win 80 games They are not going to stop playing like this cause this is an out and out lazy and underachieved bunch with an enabler in chief as a manager whose nice guy approach is counterproductive at this time And Freddie, he too is too much of a nice guy. No fire on this team. Not to mention the suspension that Ozuna faces not that he was of much use this yr anyway The sky has fallen this yr and no doubt they will finish 5th cause this is a lazy bunch as a group. The Mets are a far superior team and wait till Lindor clicks This is the most hatable and lazy team in ATL Braves history dating back to 1966. They deserve to lose every single game the rest of the way and they will

Freddie misses his children. He told us back in spring training that was the reason for his inability to play well. He needs to retire if that's the case. I am getting a little tired of hearing it to tell you the truth. He has all that off season to spend time with the kids. No one really cares when you are losing

Think about that for a second. We picked up a career minor leaguer from the Orioles, an organization that hasn't been worth a crap for how long? 20 years? This guy couldn't make the Orioles. Seriously........think about that. It really does say that Braves fans deserve to be able to bitchslap AA and tell him he better wake up and fix this pen now instead of assing around. There's a lot of grief that should be piled on AA for this year. Most of everything wrong with the team is 100% on him. Before pitch 1 of the regular season I called that the bullpen was severely lacking, especially from the right side. I also questioned the complete lack of depth on the bench. Then on top of that, without a plug and play roster and bullpen we've seen how in over his head Sarge really is. Oh well. I never imagined this team was going to win another 14-15 divisions in a row. It's a down year barring some miraculous turnaround, and we will just have to fix it for next year. I would bring Tucker Davidson and Wilson up and put them in our rotation. I would rather be looking ahead than watching one and done Smyly.

Jeff Passan:
From Sandy Springs, Ga., police: Officers allegedly witnessed Atlanta Braves outfielder Marcell Ozuna grab his wife by her neck and throw her against a wall. He also hit her with a cast on his arm, according to the department's release.
Also:
As @mcompton428 just pointed out to me, the #Braves have removed all Marcell Ozuna merchandise from their online store.
Atlanta also removed the Ozuna giveaways (the neon sleeve and bobble head) from their promotions page.
Looks like he’s done, and I certainly agree that he should be, I detest wife beaters and bully’s.

I’d go ahead and give Waters a chance in LF as well LF Waters 1B Freeman RF Acuna 3B Riley 2B Albies SS Swanson C Contreras CF Heredia (Pache when healthy) Use 2021 to see what we have and what we need to get in the offseason

I'm not opposed to taking a step back to see what we've got, but at the same time, I hate to throw in the towel this early. I don't think Waters is ready though, and calling him up too soon isn't a good idea. IMO

Maybe Waters isn’t the best play but no sense cobbling together a semi-competitive roster just at the off chance we win 83 games to win this horrible division and get bounced in the 1st round of the playoffs.

Waters is a really touchy option right now. I watch most of Gwinnett’s games and he is looking closer but it could go either way. I’d look for him to be a Markakis line drive and power gap hitter. That boy is rail thin skinny. He’s a great base stealer but I’d love to see him add a little muscle.
I think either we’ll give him a 3-4 game shot or Pache miraculously gets healthy and comes back.
The spot needs to be addressed for rest of the season, they need to add Mitch Haniger for the love of god!

Haniger would be great, but I don't see that happening unless we let go of Waters or the Peach. Would the Braves do that for a season and 2/3 of Haniger? Tough call.

IMO Yeah I don't ever throw in the towel until it's over but for me, bringing up Wilson and Davidson isn't throwing in anything. I think both those guys give you as good a chance to win as Smyly does, with a much higher upside. Fried Anderson Morton Wilson Davidson Keep Smyly around.. use him if needs be in a double header or long relief. If Davidson or Wilson just prove they don't need to be here, then you still have him around. I would make some other pen moves as well.

I don’t think we’d have to give up any top prospects since Haniger is a UFA after this year. I have no idea what kind of contract Haniger is going to get or who will offer it up or how outrageous it will or won’t be. He’s only making $3M this year, his best contract of his career. He’s only been in the big leagues five years and this is his age 30 season. But he’s put together 3-4 nice seasons, so who knows what to expect. I really don’t know why in the world Seattle hasn’t locked him up already, maybe he thinks he’ll get some great offers.

Haniger isn't a free agent until 2023. Kris Bryant anyone?
