Okay go with your predictions
Teheran, Folty, McCarthy, Newcomb, and I will say that they will open with Kazmir as the named #5 despite the talk of letting the youngsters take over.
They will let Kazmir take #5 to see if he can showcase himself enough to be trade bait later on. (Unless there is a late ST collapse)
Gohara will still be rounding himself into shape, but Fried and Wisler are hanging around as options. They may rotate #5 starters to give Kaz that shot to showcase himself a bit, but they choose his spots wisely and keep him healthy by shuffling around the others in a #5 by committee approach.

I think that's probably where things are headed, but Kazmir won't last long. I expect Gohara to be in the rotation by the end of the 1st month.

I do as well... best case is Kazmir gets 1 or 2 decent starts and then we can hide him in long relief.

When Gohara is healthy he will be in the rotation. I see Newcomb as being the most likely to be demoted. I don't see Kazmir as being in the rotation long. Wisler or Gohara will replace him by may

I agree, but I don’t see Gohara being healthy for the first 3 weeks. He may be healthy but he’ll be working himself back into shape at Gwinnett

I think we use an option on Gohard this year. probably doesn't make much of a difference to get that year of control back with him, but I see AA doing that. I see Wisler and Kaz doing the 6 man rotation thing once the season kicks into gear. I think Gohard will pitch in ATL this year, just not until June or later. Guys with options will be in AAA some this year. Blair, Wisler, Fried, Sims, Gohard all will spend some time in AAA and AA will use the 10 day DL to help control the fragile arms innings.

I just want to see Gohara get healthy and stay that way for awhile.

I'm concerned the bullpen is going to be a major thorn in our side this year. Someone want to give a rundown of what they think the BP will look like going into the season. Closer(s)? Set Up? Long Relief? Thanks.

Why not? I thought he looked pretty sharp the other day. Give him another look during the last week of ST and see how it goes. He would probably be as good as Kasmir or Wisler or Blair or whoever else they stick in the 5th spot until Gohara gets healthy which will hopefully be no later than the first of May. They're talking about only using a four man rotation in March anyway due to the off days...I could see him as a one or two start filler.

He is going to have stretches of good innings, but in the long run, he is going to be another Colon or other retread. I would rather see Wisler get blasted for 600K a season than adding a 34 year old has been.
