Well y'all keep beating your chests about it, but it accomplishes nothing. It's just become so laughable to me that is what I do... I laugh about it, and then I don't spend a great deal of time caring any longer. I've walked away from a lot of things because my no longer caring means I no longer care for what the sport or thing has become. I wouldn't however say that what I do exacerbates jack crap. That's about where I am with baseball if they continue this political statement stuff. It's not a simple answer......because obviously just you or just me or a few people here or there not caring doesn't exacerbate the situation, but when we have enough people doing it collectively then I do think it makes a huge difference and does allow things to get to where they are now. Where a very vocal but very small minority get their way with all this stupid stuff because collectively too many of us just keep saying "how stupid, whatever" and leaving it at that. As the majority, we need to start standing up and punching these twits right between the eyes and telling them to shut up with all their victim playing and culture cancelling.

My saying this is ridiculous has repercussions.
I already no longer watch 2 sports, and I no longer give any to a 3rd outside of still watching them on TV. If they do this with the all-star game then I will never watch that again.
It's just not a single person who knows me would ever say anything I have done furthers the problem.
A lot of people here have spoken about not standing for sports being affected by politics, but every one of them is still dutifully watching baseball as of now.
I don't condone what is going on, but if anyone wants to call me out for what I said, then I just want they are doing to not "stand for it".

I don't intend to be calling you out for not doing enough to "not stand for it."
I'm in the exact same boat, I've quit basketball completely, football, and NASCAR.......and I lived in Mooresville NC for 15 years, the home of most NASCAR teams. I still have a LOT of connections to people who are actively involved in the sport, hell my son-in-law works for Joey Logano.....and even though I maintain the friendships I have nothing to do with the sport anymore. I won't watch, I won't go, I won't spend a penny on it. Funny thing is, a lot of these friends I have who are still actually working in NASCAR feel the same way and they don't have anything to do with it either, aside from doing their jobs because they're good high paying jobs. They don't watch and they don't go and they don't spend a penny on it, and they don't wear gear for the driver they work for. And I was huge into that sport for 20-30 years.
I'm a huge hockey fan and always have been I played hockey growing up. And they've done a nice job overall staying sane about things. But baseball has teetered a few times, and they're pushing me. I also played baseball, all the way through college, and honestly it's always been more in my blood than hockey. But they've pushed me with the B.S., and I can and will stop watching if they get stupid.....like moving the All Star game. I used to be amazed that so many people could go through life and not pay attention at all to sports, but once I've weeded sports out, I totally get it. I really wish baseball would stay sensible and at a level where I would feel ok still watching. But if not, oh well.
And in case you haven't heard, some people are asking pro golfers to either not play at the Masters or have the tournament played somewhere else. lol........
But back to the "not stand for it" topic. I'm not meaning to call you out, but I'm in an introspective stage about this whole thing--should I call myself out for not doing more? Right now I'm of the exact same thinking as you, but now I'm starting to ask myself if I'm doing enough. Because at some point, soon I should think, enough of us need to collectively start doing a whole lot more and put an end to this nonsense. Because the longer it goes on, and the more too many of us maybe just shrug and say "whatever," the more ridiculous it gets.
And I really don't even know what the first step would be to do more. When you control the media, you have all the power. And that's really all they are doing, is using the media to constantly voice their stupid little victimization claims. How do you combat that when you not only don't have total control of the media, but you don't even have any say at all with the media?

I say whatever because if we understand the dynamics of business wanting to appeal to the next generation of customers, and in this case a union of what is mostly woke Millennials who love to virtue signal, there is little I can do outside of just stop watching baseball.
If they do this then I'll probably never watch another AS game, but there is little else anyone can do about this. We can do about as much about it as we could escalating player salaries that we used to scream about.

The bigger problem I see is how prevalent it’s becoming in life overall, not just sports. I’m not saying it needs to stop in sports, I mean life overall. The bottom line is always money, maybe all it will take is enough people to just stop paying attention and stop spending money on whatever the topic at the moment is.

The most concerning part to me is how poorly educated younger people are, and it's been done by design. The left is relentless and it is evil. The indoctrinated are now getting into positions of influence in organizations, and that's what we're seeing. Those of us who are reasonable people don't live and die with politics, but the left does. I'm being forced to live and breathe it more than I want for the sake of my children. Sports is having all of the fun taken out of it by the left because that's what the left does. They ruin and then destroy everything they touch.

Okay... this has stopped being about baseball and has become a society rant.
I have no objection to society rants, but they go in another forum.

These fools from Delta, Coca-Cola, and Czar Manfred didn't even read the law. They heard some sound-bite LIES from Joe Biden and Tyler Perry.. gauged the "woke" position, and shot from the hip. The law still has more liberal policies in some ways than those from the home of MLB, New York Kemp Interview

The law still has more liberal policies in some ways than those from the home of MLB, New York Kemp InterviewI saw this, it's typical of what goes on in any and every one of these ridiculous ordeals. These poopbags don't know the first thing about the truth or actual facts, they just go by what they're told to say and think.
As Tucker Carlson asked tonight, WTF is Delta doing voicing it's spoon fed "opinion" so loudly about democracy issues anyway?
Their CEO said they have a huge base of African-American employees and they are universally hurt by this law.
It's funny by the way that those black Delta employees somehow find a way to make it to work every day, have a picture idea to get into the airport, would need an I.D. to fly on a Delta plane, but it's racist for us to make them to get an idea to vote. This is just beyond bearable at this point.

.... and his black employees don't even universally agree they are hurt by this law.
It's shocking, but some black folk... more than are ever acknowledged.. are fine with voter ID requirements.
Blacks are individuals with diverse and varied opinions, but liberals treat them as if they are a collective with a centralized controlling voice the mindlessly follow.
It IS beyond bearable.... and the world is getting ready to snap.

Yeah I’ve seen plenty of videos on YouTube of black inner city people saying it’s racist to act like those black people can’t get an I.D. or use a computer. Because it is.

Yeah I’ve seen plenty of videos on YouTube of black inner city people saying it’s racist to act like those black people can’t get an I.D. or use a computer. Because it is. Of course it is. Systemic racism is a real thing. It is perpetuated by white liberals and black politicians and community leaders.
