Well it sucks to not win it 5 because it felt like we had that 5th game in our hands for awhile and let it slip away.
But we're still in better position than we expected to be coming into this series and we have Max pitching for us today.
After Wright imploded it was easy to envision us being down 3-2 coming into this game.
But we're up 3-2 because we're a resilient team.
We may not win today, but I like our chances.

They day in baseball, momentum is only as good as your next day’s starting pitcher. Fried’s been a beast all year. We got this!

All this momentum talk is mostly BS. A baseball game is a set of independent events. Decisions play a big role. The decision by Washington/Ozuna to go home without tagging up was a blunder, but bringing Will Smith in was a bigger blunder, and for 2 reasons. First, the base running mistake was confusion in the heat of the moment, so it's more understandable. Second, Smith sucked in his previous outing and has pretty much sucked all season for us. No way in hell would I have brought him into any high leverage situation. At this point, he's a mop up guy.

Smith had been money in the playoffs, he had pitched 5.1 innings without giving up one base runner. And a few of those outings were in crucial spots of games. But he’s gone belly up again his last two outings. One thing you can bet a million dollars on, he will he used in either the 7th or 8th inning today and tomorrow without hesitation.

Thanks guys for the well wishes. Here's the situation. I should be super happy about the Braves success but our 13 year old dog Rusty, is having complications after surgery and it doesn't look good. He had a small mass removed from his chest cavity but his current oxygen levels are too low to survive without oxygen support. We're giving him a chance to respond to antibiotics and possibly steroid treatment though the weekend but so far no luck. So as I watch these games I have tears streaming down my face for Rusty. I am sure many of you that have had pets understand. GO BRAVES -PA

Those good outings were against the Reds and the Marlins, no? Sorry, I'm just not a fan of relief pitchers that hand out homers like Halloween candy. Smith doesn't just give up a hit, he sets the damn ball on a tee for them.

He's a fighter. Seems better clinically today but oxygen numbers haven't changed. If it wasnt for the breathing he would have been sent home today because everything else is good.

All the best to Rusty ..all dog (pet) lovers know they ARE a part of the family.
It’s bad enough to play up to 7 straight high stress games in a row in the play offs....but who in their sane mind would schedule a 4:00 game the day after a late starting game (for the East) the night before? Rest much?
Go Max ..end this for your fans today with the outing of your life! ..and, some runs please by the GA boyz..

Tired of hearing about how clutch Swanson is, and how good Acuna is, Acuna has basically been absent. And Swanson has disappeared.

Best wishes for Rusty. I don't know what I would do if something were to happen to my dog. He's really like my child and we are always together.
