I recently finished the Sandman series of graphic novels from Neil Gaiman.
It was quite frankly, amazing. On another site I wrote a 1st read review of the series that received over a quarter of a million views, and over 15,000 comment posts.

I just happened to be well-read as well. You may lose your good ol' boy card for that. I read a lot up through graduating college but hardly at all since then. Too many other things going on that are time consuming.

VALIS- Philip K Dick
I really enjoy the mix of of sci-fi with Gnosticism but overall this is a bit depressing as I feel the writer falling down and losing his mind. It's a bit dark for such a sweet soul as PKD.

I’m not reading anything at this time. I’ve had several friends trying to get me to watch Doctor Who, so I started that.

I've only heard bad things about the newer ones but the last time I watched Who Tom Baker was the Dr.
Blakes 7 was one of my fav TV shows of all time also created by Terry Nation. always preferred it over all versions of Star Trek

I’ve never read any Clive Barker, but I’ve seen Hellraiser..
does that count for anything? Horror really isn’t something I’ve ever been interested in.

The first season Doctor, #9 I believe, portrayed by Christopher Eccelstone, was pretty good. He was only there for one season... I’ve just started my second season and that’s when Tennant took over. The person getting me to do this is the same person that got me to read Gaiman’s Sandman series, so I owe it to her to give it a chance.
