When your starting pitching is bad and you have to keep shuffling starters up and down this will happen occasionally. The offense isn't going to score 6,7,8 runs every night. They will have these kinds of games. Forget it and win the next two.

They will have these kinds of games. Forget it and win the next two. This sort of game is actually easiest to get over. These things happen from time to time and you just blow them off and move on. This doesn't bother me anywhere near as much as the 8-7 extra inning loss the other day.

This doesn't bother me anywhere near as much as the 8-7 extra inning loss the other day. I think I remember Bobby cox once saying he'd rather get blown out 25-0 than to lose a 2-1/3-2 kind of game.

They will have these kinds of games. Forget it and win the next two. Yep, the end result is the same whether you lose 2-1 or 14-1. Move on. Sandoval should get a long look. Riley has shown some improvement, but he's still not quite ready for a postseason role, IMO. He has fallen back into his old habits. I'm confident that he'll get there, but he just ain't there yet.

Losing by a 3 or 4 run rally in the bottom of the 9th is much worse than this. ......and that's something that hasn't happened to us yet (and hopefully won't).

Remember all those guys we were looking at for LF. Pollock, Garcia, Gallo, Peralta, Brantley. Pollock has been decent this year and Brantley in 2019 and 2020 (the rest are meh) but they cost ~$14-15M each. Duvall has been as good or better for a little over $3M. Nice job by GM!
