You people are amazing.
Every time we lose it seems you scream the season is over.
4th game into the season and we had people screaming we should just face the fact that we were not a good team.
We lost Soroka and you didn't even want to finish the season out.
This is two games and he'll probably be back healthy and rested.
Top two teams from the division will make the playoffs and then there's still the wildcard.
... and even if we do collapse, this has been a year of injury and falloff no one could have expected, and thank God AA didn't panic and trade off Pache or Waters for a short term fix during this shiite show of a season.

Thats the staff ace gone for at least 2 starts. Phillies are nipping at their heels. You think a rotation of Wright, Anderson, Erlin, and 2 TBDs is going to be able to hold this thin division lead? Losing Fried for any amount of time was tge one thing tge Braves could not have happen--it did. If this team loses tge division on account of it, they'll end up playing San Diego in the playoffs. And that's not a match up they can win with this decimated rotation and very, very poorsituational hitting.

I certainly think that this team can still make the post season and have a healthy Fried back and probably Hamels in the rotation as well.
I also think we're still in first place right now after hearing you proclaim several times during the season that we were done.

I also don't think AA should have his testicles kicked for not trading Pache or Waters

Plus lets look at this "at least two starts"
He would have started Wednesday and then 9-14 against the Orioles..
They said they hope to have him back for the 16th against the Orioles..
So really he misses 1 start and then just has the 2nd start pushed back 2 days.

You're trying to reason with fartbox. I'm doubting it will work. I love seeing the Braves win games as much as the next guy, but I'm glad these things are happening now instead of next year. Any championship this year has a big ol' asterisk next to it anyway. Why knee jerk over it? That said, Fried is pretty slight in build, and adding muscle would help him. He's probably the type that will just always be skinny though.

Granted 2 entirely different circumstances but still.

I will be disappointed if they cannot get at least one of the 8 spots given they were .600 through 40 games I disagree about the big ol asterisk, in the end a championship is a championship As for Fried, his build is what it is & if he added muscle it might be counterproductive. Tall skinny guy. Hope he will be allright but never know with these muscle injuries
